Dry-Brining a turkey
Last year, in the LA Times, Russ Parsons published an article about dry-brining vs regular brining and dry-brining was declared the winner. The link to that article is not longer up, does anyone know of a good dry-brine recipe for a 12-14 lb turkey?
No Boil Lasagna Noodles or Fresh Pasta Sheets
I'm making a roasted veggie lasagna and the recipe calls for no boil lasagna noodles. I looked at a Fresh Faire Ralphs and Bristol Farms but neither store carries them. Anyone know where I can find them... I live in the South Bay, so the closer, the better.
OR
Know where I can find fresh pasta sheets, again near the South Bay.
Thanks!
Aside from Papa Christo's any Greek recs
I lived in Athens for 6 months and am always looking for a good authentic Greek meal. I really like Petros, although it is a bit pricey--not exactly the taverna feel you may be looking for. I did some research before I went and followed the recommendations. I LOVED the sea bass and my date really enjoyed his pastisio, although the sea bass was really where it's at. We also had the saganaki and were impressed with the Bougatsa, a semolina dessert. It was a fabulous meal, but I think we ordered well. I also recommend looking for "Greek festivals" I know Redondo Beach has one annually, and I'm sure that if you looked up the nearest Greek Orthodox church, there would be information on festivals, which are always focused on food (ok, and dance).
LA Restaurant Week?
Does LA have a restaurant week? If so, where do I find out more about it?

If you go, try their eggplant and hummus dips to start. They are both fantastic and portions are generous. By far the best entree I've had is the chicken, walnut, pomegranate stew. BTW, I was disappointed with the lasagna, which I found to be very standard. Desserts were ok. HUGE chocolate lava cake was good, but not special. However, the apple crisp was blah.
Books by Foodlovers
The chef is Bernard Loiseau and he has a number of books that you can find on Amazon.com, but I think they're all in French.
From Wikipedia: "In February, 2003, Bernard Loiseau, a prominent French chef with a history of bipolar disorder, committed suicide when his widely-admired restaurant Côte d'Or in Saulieu, Burgundy, was rumoured to be in danger of a downgrade by Michelin from three to two stars. However, most news reports attributed this suicide to a downgrade by the rival Gault Millau guide, the Michelin guide having stated he would not be downgraded."

Do you know if they have a lunch menu?
J Restaurant & Lounge in Downtown
Has anyone been here? It was suggested to me for a group of 6. We're interested in good food & a good bar scene to follow. Any thoughts?
Best "Splurge" Restaurant in LA
Some friends of mine did a "battle of the sexes" type bet, losers take the winners out to dinner where ever they want to go. We have a vegetarian (who eats fish) to consider, and we want to stay somewhere near Hollywood/Mid-Wilshire/Santa Monica area. Any suggestions?
