Best Honey In Los Angeles?

Big second to Dommy on Honey Pacifica! We are giving away little jars of their avocado honey as favors at our wedding this month. Liu, you can find HP at the Beverly Hills farmers' market on Saturday mornings, or at the Ocean Park market in Santa Monica on Sundays. Ask to taste all 6 varieties, it's fun to see the great variety of flavors from various California flowers & plants. They've also got a honey blended with habanero peppers that is delicious!

Baked Radicchio and Mozzarella Pasta

I tried this recipe last night and it was delicious! A great blend of flavors and textures, subtle and comforting. The Treviso radicchio was new to me and it really did make a difference. I made a few little tweaks that I think were good to try: I added 1/2 pound of crumbled, browned Italian sausage to the sauce, as well as a little nutmeg, pepper and salt. Also, just before I mixed the sauce with the pasta I mixed a little of the diced mozzarella into the sauce to thicken it.

Not Invited Back

This is absolutely horrible advice! "Save your hospitality for your real friends" - what a mercenary attitude. Thanking someone for inviting you into their home has nothing to do with whether or not the company and food were to your liking. It should be about recognizing the effort and time that was put out on your behalf. I'm not saying that you have to invite them back or even accept any future invitations, but a thank-you note seems like the least you could do in return for someone preparing a meal and inviting you into their home.
