Where can I bbq in public in Brooklyn?
People have been bbq-ing in Fort Greene Park since forever and I've never seen anyone be bothered about it. (I've done it two or three times myself.) On Spring/Summer holidays and weekends there are dozens of people cooking on everything from hibachis to oil drums. Most of this is confined to the park's periphery along Washington Park and DeKalb. The neighborhood's changing though, so as always, YMMV.

That's not been my experience.
As a matter of fact, after I delete and save and do something so simple as clicking on another of the three forum themes, the new theme loads with the URL I just deleted still intact. Delete it there, save, and choose another theme, and the URL has returned.

On a related subject, it seems you can't entirely remove a URL from a profile (Blog field) once it has been entered.
Or, am I missing something?
Where The Big Dog REALLY Gets His Leads?
Well, I just followed the links through the photos of Mr. and Mrs. Dolgen's eating tour through Brooklyn, and I think it's apropos of something that there is nowhere to go from the last page. No link back to the Home page, nothing. Just a view of the rain from the back of Famous Fat Dave''s cab....
"Oy veh" is right. ;)
Best Brooklyn dinner spot near Fort Greene
"The only restaurant in Ft. Greene which I would say rivals "Manhattan's Best" would probably be Ici."
Sorry to disagree. IMO, far and away the best restaurant in the Ft. Greene area is Locanda Vini e Olii. (Gates at Cambridge)

Is Brooklyn Label's Chili Colorado the finest breakfast offering in all of New York City?
Not to belabor a minor point, but . . .
"The word 'grits' comes from Old English grytta meaning a coarse meal of any kind."

"[G]rits can refer to any coarsely ground grain, including rice and oats."

Humanely-Raised Meat in Brooklyn?
Erm, is it particularly surprising when a 400 sq. foot mom and pop store that sells mainly specialty items has organic avocados which cost 50 cents more than not-organic avocados at chain stores?

Humanely-Raised Meat in Brooklyn?
The meat at L'Epicerie (Vanderbilt, south of DeKalb) is supposed to be all of these things. They will also order anything you want on a day's notice.
Is Brooklyn Label's Chili Colorado the finest breakfast offering in all of New York City?
While one normally expects grits to be corn, in cook-speak, grits may refer to wheat (e.g. the Cream Of Wheat we find on a lot of diner plates around here), or rice, or any other coarsely ground grain.
EDIT: Glad the twenty or so dupes of this post disappeared after the system went down for maintenance a few minutes ago. It wasn't that important a point. :-p
Ft. Greene Produce?
LOL. All true. The fact is that from South Portland and Fulton it's just as easy to walk one block to take the C train to West 4th Street station, then walk another three blocks to Jefferson Market (or Citarella, if that's your speed) to get whatever you need and get home in twenty minutes, about an hour and 15 minutes for the round trip. I do it all the time....

Fort Greene Recommendation
Locando Vini e Olii, at this point, is the only restaurant in the FG/CH area worth traveling to by means other than one's feet.
