How to respond to really clueless posts and posters

Why would a "clueless" post make anyone's "blood boil"? Unless by clueless you mean rude or mean-spirited.

I found this site two weeks ago, and was delighted by the literate, friendly, helpful posts. But if a diversity of opinion, experience and expertise is unwelcome, CH can do without me.

Those Kraft commercials with awful recipe ideas

For you younger folks, Kraft TV Theater (or whatever it was called) had commercials that featured cooking demonstrations using Kraft products: a Don Pardo-like announcer (Ed Herlihy?) described the recipe, while disembodied hands performed the procedure on camera. This was parodied in the 1974 film "Groove Tube": the hands strive - and fail - to match the announcer's increasingly detailed instructions. (Maybe not as funny as I remember, but it sure was LMAO at the time.)

Favorite twists to basic meatloaf?

I love a recipe from some famous restaurant somewhere: 2/3 beef, 1/3 pork, plus apple sauce (and onions, bread crumbs, egg, ketchup, milk - I omit the egg). I also like to steam finely diced carrots, onions, celery, and add to the mix. Great for texture and flavor, and the carrots add a fine visual.

Bacon Brittle

I just read this entire thread and still can't believe it. You people are certifiable. And I can't wait to try it. (How have I lived without Chowhound?)

Chicken Inspriation?

I tried it just as you said, and it was great! Jacques Pepin c'est l'homme! Thanks! (I love the whole idea of taking food off the heat and letting it finish. Works great.)
