I'd say 30-40 pp. No seafood because we are at the Oyster Bar the previous night.
Open to anything with great flavours!

Two Toronto women seeking good meal close to NY Theater Workshop this Friday.
Enjoy ethnic but not seafood. Not familiar with this part of town so appreciate all rec's.

Birthday Dinner, ethnic + comfortable + delicious

Thanks. Don't believe she has tried it.
Would also appreciate another suggestion other than middle eastern.

Birthday Dinner, ethnic + comfortable + delicious

Alas, it would be perfect but she has gone there many times so I need a new place to excite the taste buds.

Birthday Dinner, ethnic + comfortable + delicious

Looking for a delicious meal for a friend turning 60. She enjoys ethnic (Middle Eastern, Tibetan) but the main thing is really good food. I'd like to spend about $150 for two, not including wine. Can drive anywhere but prefer not to have to drive to distant burbs.

Need non-winterlicious 'interesting' rec for Jan.26

Sadly, we missed the rush for the restaurants we were interested in but would like to try a new place not involved in Winterlicious for a party of 6 - something around $35 per person plus wine - and please not predictable! Thanks.

where to buy confectioners' sugar?

I did ask about this at the store. Since Redpath sugar was sold they are unable to get confectioners' sugar. The icing sugar bag does indeed indicate cornstarch. I also searched re: confectioners' sugar but I think most people assume that icing sugar is pure and would be surprised that it contains starch. Too bad - I am trying to make perfect sabl├ęs which call for confectioners' and in this case I feel I should be a purist!

where to buy confectioners' sugar?

I cannot find this in my local Dominion or Loblaws. Does anyone know where I can purchase it? Icing sugar contains cornstarch and will not do...Much needed for Christmas baking...
Thanks
