Eulalie's Corner Store, Gerrard and Coxwell

We went there last Saturday night for dinner. The place was relatively busy and we had to wait over 45 minutes for our food. Fried chicken and waffles was good. The burger was overcooked and fries were nothing special. Perhaps it was an off night?

I do agree it's a cute neighbourhood place and will go back for drinks but not for the food.

What would you LOVE as a midnight snack @ a wedding? [Do you even want one?]

We looked into doubles for our wedding snack table and checked with Drupatis to cater it. They advised against it since pre-made doubles would get soggy in they could be potentially messy to eat at a wedding.

By Toronto standard, Great authentic Macau/Portuguese food inside 'New Kennedy Mall' food court, Hwy #7 and Kennedy.

I completely agree. My wife's family is from Macau and sometimes we pick up these dishes, since I'm not aware of any other Macau-style restaurants in the GTA.

The one other dish I'd recommend is the "Sawdust Pudding", when they have it available.

Minuet Cafe - 925 Danforth Avenue

Had a quick chat with the owner/baker. They are open from 7 to 7 everyday except Sunday.

Toronto wedding venues advice

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Arts & Letters Club last summer. We were initially adamant about booking there because the sample menus on their website seemed kinda run-of-the-mill ie. chicken supreme. However, the Chef and Catering Manager was really happy to to work closely with us to create a customized hybrid menu that reflected our different backgrounds - I'm Carribean and my wife is from Macau. The food turned out, the venue is super cool.

Turkish pizza in the east end - some new players

I've tried Mr. Pide a couple of times - both eat-in and takeout. Friendly service but I found the "assorted" pides were more greasy compared to Pizza Pide.

Hot Pot - Danforth Mini Review

Went by yesterday to check it out. An employee advised me that a food menu will be introduced after the end of Ramadan, which should be around the beginning of October.

West Indian Bakery - Snacks

I'm planning a get-together for about 20 people (appetizers only) and will going with a Carribean theme. Do you know any good and inexpensive West Indian Bakeries (or caterers) that offer the following snacks:

- mini alou pies
- chicken pies
- chicken puffs
- arepas

Macanese Restaurants in the GTA

Just got back from Hong Kong and was wondering if anyone knows of any good Macanese (Macau-style) restaurants in the GTA?
