U-Dist Seattle: Picks and Pans on the Ave, 2006 Update?

I really like the Aladdin Gyrocery - cheap, delicious.

Tres Leches Cake

Thanks! I'll have to check it out.

SEA - Gift certificate for present

You really can't miss with those, except possibly for Volterra. I've had some so-so meals there. And $150 should work for all except Rovers, where they'd likely have to kick in a little extra.

Have you considered Cafe Juanita? It's a bit out of the way but it's amazing. I think it's the best restaurant in the area.

Eastside (Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Issaquah) Christmas Dinner

I used to work in the Civica Commons building in Bellevue. Seastar is located on the ground floor, and it's surprisingly good - I think the best in downtown Bellevue. They definitely have a bar, and they're set up for groups.

Of course, Cafe Juanita is my favorite restaurant in the whole Seattle area...

Tres Leches Cake

If anyone knows a place to get great tres leches in Seattle, too, let me know! I had a life-changing tres leches experience at a restaurant called Churrasco in Houston once years ago and I've been looking for its equal ever since.

Is there good pizza in Seattle?

Jeez, I was already dying to go. Now I'm just suffering.
