Breakfast Buffet in Niagara Region
Thank you. $20.00 is good price for a good buffet. Unfortunately the Pillar and post only do the buffet breakfast in the summer. Any other suggestions? are the big hotels in Niagara falls not worth it?
(Toronto) Tacos El Asador - is it worth trying?
Its definitively worth trying. I am a regular and have been for years. Its not mexican its el salvadorian but has latin american foods. Its a small place and not fancy at all. But the owners and nice and the food is very good and cheap. The pupusas, burritos, tostadas, tamales are all great. the guacomole too its excellent. I see people get big bowls of soup that also looks good. Try the horchata drink if they have it - its delicious!
Fish and Chips along QEW
Someone once told me while eating fish and chips at chippies about a place that he thinks has great Fish and Chips. I remember it was along the QEW between Toronto and Niagara. Somewhere near Port Credit, or Burlington or Stoney Creek. I can't remember. I think it was near or on the Lake so south of the QEW. Any suggestions?

Are any of the dishes with Tofu only? Vegetarian or seafood only - without red meat or chicken? I love Korean food but usually I have to go to move fusion korean type places as they use a lot of red meat. thanks

Also I was recommended another right behind one of the hotels and I can't remember which one. Something with nice decor and reasonably priced menu with a good variety of food not just sushi.

Thanks and I do and will avoid all these big chains. It doesn't have to be on Clifton Hill in fact a little out of the way its better. I would like a place that locals go to for breakfast. If anyone has recommendations please pass them on.

I am going to Niagara in a couple weekends and would like to get some recommendations. Niagara area - including the US side, Niagara falls, NOTL, Winery region, St Catherines anything that is worth a drive.

thank you for all your suggestions. Please keep them coming. I have been to thai springs rolls and I am not a huge fan but its a good option to have. I already love Vesuvios pizza and I am not looking to switch. I agree with Non Doctor I never liked their pizzas. What was that indian delivery curryer - that is exactly the kind of thing i am looking for. I found their website and it looks good www.thecurryer.com. They don't have retail location but deliver? Their menu looks very good. I will try it. Anyone have any good chinese recommendations?

I don't think Bacchus delivers. It is a good option as is Island foods for take out. But I want something that is deliverable and more unique for me, as I eat rotis all the time.
Johny Banana - disappointed
Very disappointing negative experience at Johny Banana's on Saturday November 18,2006. After a recommendation from a friend and favourable reviews, we chose to go there for dinner. The food was passable, some quite good. But the chinsy amount of chips and condiments was off putting. As was the charge for extra chips when requested. But the worst part was the bad service. Too many wait staff for such a small place all staring over at our table and making us nervous. Being told when we ordered our mains that the kitchen was closing and that we would have to order dessert now - didn't help. Also when they made an error and forgot the guacamole on the nachos - the kitchen was closed and the mistake couldn't be rectified. The nachos also were advertised with re-fried beans and came with a meager amount of plain black beans and the nachos overall completely lacked in substance and flavour. I would not recommend this restaurant and I will not return!
