Oaxacan Chocolate
I have a 240 g chocolate bar from Oaxaca. The ingredients are just sugar, cocoa beans and vanilla. What can I make with it other than mole or a drink and that's fairly easy? Do you have any recipes?
Old school Italian
Give Agio in Corso Italia a try. It's classic Italian cooking and done with unbridled enthusiasm by Marino, who trained in Italy, is fluent in Italian, but was born in South Korea. I had the grilled calamari and clam linguine recently, and they were flawless and generously portioned. The number of clams alone could have formed its own dish. The decor is shabby chic though.
In south Etobicoke, there is Posticino, with the best tiramisu I've had. The wine list is fantastic and the prices are reasonable. The menu sounds boring, but is extremely well prepared and flavourful.
Where do you get your Beef Chow Fun Fix in Toronto GTA?
Chow fun and ho fun are the same right? Here's a thread on beef ho fun: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/696129
(Course technically chow fun is probably the right term, since you can either "chow" ho fun or put it in soup.)
Moomoo Bars - yum!
Their facebook page says they now sell at Pusateri's...doesn't bode well for the price :).
Moomoo Bars - yum!
Was just at the Erin Fall Fair where I tried some samples of Moomoo Bars, and they are very tasty. Will be heading over to Starsky's soon to buy some. They're like little cheesecake snacks, but very light tasting and refreshing if eaten cold. Actually, I think they're more like an ice cream bar, but one that doesn't have to be eaten straight out of the freezer.

Felicious?
Felicious is now The Good Fork or goodfork as their sign reads from the street.
Haven't been yet, but it looks much busier than Felicious ever did. A review should probably get a new thread anyway.
Felicious?
Was there last night for dinner. It's definitely now my weeknight, too lazy to cook go-to place given the limited choices in the neighbourhood. We had the macaroni and cheese and a chicken provolone panini with fries and salad. As said above, it's a good quality alternative to Swiss Chalet etc. The dishes are made from scratch, not reheated, and with care.
The menu is completely different from what they had when it first opened - no more crepes and no more distinctly Eastern European items. The frozen fries have been replaced with handcut fries.
The drink menu is not very appealing, but it just helps to ensure I'm not spending money on alcohol for a quick weeknight meal.
ISO Fresh Duck - Whole or Parts
I think St. Andrew's Poultry in Kensington gets its fresh ducks in on Thursday. I've seen them on Saturdays too, so the day of the week might vary or they may get the shipment more than one day a week. I'm pretty sure they slaughter them on site. Once I bought a duck there, and it was still warm.
Via Allegro????!!!!
I was at Posticino not too long ago. I think it would suit your criteria. The food doesn't look that special from the menu, but everything was well prepared. The wine selection was excellent.

Family-style Vietnamese
Saigon Star does, but it's in Richmond Hill. It's been many years since I've eaten there, so can't comment on the quality, but the curry dungeness crab is frequently raved about. http://www.saigonstartoronto.com/index.php

Oops just saw this now. Will check with them on the weekend. Though some of the listings on this thread that do a mix of cuisines might meet your needs.
Non-Dutch processed cocoa powder in Toronto?
I went into several stores with no luck. Everything from No Name to Fry's to Valrhona is Dutch processed. That thread is two years old. Seems things have changed.
Where to get "Dutch processed" cocoa...
This isn't true with Valrhona, which is Dutch-processed and it only lists cocoa powder as an ingredient. I had bought it thinking it was natural. Of course it tastes fabulous, but my red velvet cake wasn't red as a result of the alkalinity.
Non-Dutch processed cocoa powder in Toronto?
Anyone know where to find non-Dutch processed / non-alkalized / natural cocoa powder in Toronto? I think brands that fall under this category are Hershey's, Ghirardelli, and Scharfen Berger. However, I looked at McCall's and its listing for Ghirardelli unsweetened says it is alkalized. I'm not sure about the Callebaut either that they sell.
Breaded Chicken Wings
Ok, but I'll take PP over Hooter's any day for breaded chicken wings. So far most of the suggestions above aren't quite beacons of wholesomeness.
Breaded Chicken Wings
I often have the same craving. I hate to admit this but the crispy wings (not tossed with sauce) at Pizza Pizza is how I satisfy mine. I don't have any complaints about them, but I may look to this thread for better options. Up to you if you agree or not, but hey they're only $4.99 for six.

Inexpensive suggestions and late night breaksfasts in Toronto?
BQM is a diner-type place and will be decent value for money. They have a few vegetarian options, but I've only ever had a regular burger and fries there.

If you go back, definitely get the dessert that's not the crème brûlée. Three times out of three for me a million times better!

Dim Sum - New Treasure on Dundas?
I believe I have encountered this hostess. She seems to be an owner. She yelled at a server while standing at another customer's table. I felt like it added to New Treasure's dystopic atmosphere. But the ha gao beats Rol San's hands down and does a good job of satisfying my craving. I usually get take out. The last time I had Rol San's it was doughy and tasted of soap.
Great coffee in Toronto's west end
Have to disagree on Coffee Tree. Have only had coffee there twice. First time it was terribly watered down. I didn't hold it against them thinking it was a one off. I went again, picked out one they had on that day, and they made a point of warning me that that one was considered double strength and might be too strong. Turned out to be only a wee bit watered down. Still not great, but at least I got a respectable cup of coffee that time.
Nataraj closed and I am very sad. What happened/any suggestions?
I agree. The only time I've been to Nataraj seems to correspond with estufarian's lower period. So Mt. Everest became my place to go to. It's never disappointed me. One or two of the appetizers didn't do it for me, but the mains were always satisfying.

ISO wasabi-flavoured Riceworks chips
Who reliably stocks wasabi-flavoured riceworks chips downtown or on the subway line? Have they been discontinued?
INDIAN/ITALIAN WEDDING MENU DISASTER + VENUE HELP
You seem to have considered most possible options already. Whatever you do you will have to sacrifice something. My parents were recently at a Chinese-Indian wedding held at a banquet hall in the burbs, and the couple had Chinese and Indian caterers and buffet style, or if you like "food stations."
Paramount Restaurant (Yonge / Dundas area across Eaton Centre)
I was in the neighbourhood and needed a quick bite to eat. At first I was dreading looking around for options, but then I happened upon Paramount and got a spinach and cheese manakeesh and the Paramount Special drink to go. Both were fresh tasting, straightforward and satisfying. The skewers they had in their refrigerated cases looked tempting, and I'm looking forward to going back for a main.
It's a sit down restaurant.
