What is the best Indian restaurant in NYC

Funny, I have never been to Chennai Gardens although I was addicted to a place close by called Tiffin Wallah that is also indian vegetarian. I went there about once a week for 2 years. Food amazing and very original...not the stuff you get everwhere else, although the sauces, raita, coriander chutney, etc. were lacking. Then about a month ago I went one day and the food was very so-so, bland and not unusual. So, I chalked it up to a bad day. Sadly to say I have been back twice since and had the same experience. So, I will start checking some of these other places out.

Best Mexican food in NYC

Guys, sorry to totally disagree. I have lived in Mexico 18 yrs and just spent a year in San Diego and so was really excited to try Downtown Bakery. DISGUSTING!! I should have known it wasn't mexican because they used the word "pernil" on the menu which is Puerto Rican, the word for pork from the leg in Mexican spanish is simply "pierna." So, I asked for a rajas and papas taco and got a taco with potatoes and tons of sliced, raw jalapeƱos...come on...rajas in mexico is roasted poblano chiles...and the mole sauce was so bad it cannot be described. The worst mexican food I have ever had.

Top NYC Marzipan (Preferably Downtown)

I agree with whoever said Black Hound...their Bee Cake (or mini version) is awesome and full of marzipan. For the best marzipan petit fours I have found Balduccis on 14th St and 8th Ave. Far better than La Delice on 27th/3rd Ave.
