I think great meals are as much about the experience - place, people, etc. I can be equally happy at Joel Robuchon or my local pizza joint, with no offense intended to Mssr. Robuchon, of course.
My current drink of choice:
Continuing a 25-year relationship with Diet Coke. In the alcohol category, a good Pinot.
I really wish I could:
Eat whatever I want with no ramifications.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Homemade olive tapenade.
My favorite comfort food:
Teriyaki from a Pacific NW-style establishment
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
Meritage, Obento-ya, Mesa Pizza, i Nonni
My most tattered cookbooks:
Nick Stellino's Mediterranean Flavors; my file of printed recipes from papers, friends, and the Web. I have too many baking and chocolate cookbooks to show any one preference.
