Where to eat at Universal Studios?

Any rec's either at the park or at CityWalk? We are headed there tomorrow. TIA and Merry Christmas! :)

Laksa

If you are in the SGV, I highly recommend going to Litz in Monterey Park for laksa. It's yummy and inexpensive... :)

201 E Garvey Ave

Nacho's to remember...

Are the nachos with shredded cheese or the fake kind?

Yummy Thai Food in Surrounding Downtown Area

Thai World in Alhambra is a good choice. I recommend their BBQ chicken, pad thai, and tom yum soup.

46 W Valley Blvd
Alhambra, CA, 91801

Yummy roti canai by downtown L.A/SGV?

I don't. :) Thanks

Thanks for your rec's :)

Pho or Vietnamese Sandwiches on the West Side?

Sorry, I don't recommend going to Red Moon Cafe. Not even if you're desperate.

Pollo Ala Brasa and other roasted chicken recommendations...

The Thai BBQ chicken at Thai World on Valley Blvd in Alhambra is tender and flavorful. Kind of tastes like the Asian version of El Pollo Loco. I love me the crazy chicken and if you do too, you will like this also.

McDonald's fried apple pie [Moved from L.A. board]

Not on the locator list, but the McD's inside the Fox Hills mall carries fried apple pie too.

It's a guilty indulgence...hehehe

Good eats by Hsi Lai temple (Hacienda Heights)?

We are big fans of Zhajiang mian and lamb noodle soup. Thanks, Jerome! We will definitely be checking Ma Lan Noodle out. :)

Good eats by Hsi Lai temple (Hacienda Heights)?

My hubby and I aren't familiar with the area so any rec's are appreciated. Cuisine-wise, we are pretty open.

Thanks and yes, we've tried the vegetarian lunch at Hsi Lai but it's not quite our cup of tea. ;)

I dream of beef brisket noodle soup....

Wow, really? I always think of this place as more of a northern Chinese eatery. (Love those pan-fried baos...)

I dream of beef brisket noodle soup....

I thought Har Lam Kee's was okay. Where is Luscious Dumpling located?

I dream of beef brisket noodle soup....

So Grandma's thousands of miles away and I have yet to find a place that serves a mean bowl of ngau nam fun...that is, Cantonese style beef brisket noodle soup. I'm partial to the kind with fat rice noodles but at this point, I'll take the egg noodles too.

Is Sam Woo the best there is? Please tell me it ain't so.

HELP! I need ice cream cone cupcakes in LA!

Hi there, in the July issue of InStyle mag (Catherine Zeta Jones is on the cover) there is a catering company mentioned called Good Gracious Events. They made mini gelato cones for this mother-daughter party. You may want to call them up and see if they make ice cream cone cupcakes. :)

Baked Ziti near the Marina?

Not sure if they have this dish but perhaps try C&O ?

List your favorite Chiu Chow (Chaozhou) restaurants ...

Kim Chuy in Chinatown

Fish balls with "hou fun" noodles in a savory broth .... yum-o....

NOODLE PLANET

"the denny's of asian noodles"...love that. i haven't set foot in years. food just isn't good imo.

Best Chinese in Chinatown?

I do not know if it's open for lunch but Full House on Hill Street.

Also Kim Chuy restaurant at 727 N. Broadway has really good Chiu Chow style noodle soup.

Plum Tree Inn Re-Opening in Haunted Restaurant Location on Broadway

Interesting...I've been there when it was GP and when it was Gourmet Carousel. Never noticed anything. I just assume it would be for better traffic or feng shui.

Is the new Ru Chuan restaurant (in their old location) related to Plum Tree Inn in any way?

The Wayback Machine: Foo Chow in Chinatown (loooong)

This is interesting. I decided to try it myself when Rush Hour came out (yeah, cheesy) and found the food bland. Sounds like it's changed?

Roy's Downtown L.A-Menu Suggestions
