I-90 Eats - Blasdell
Hoak's Lakehsore Restaurant at 4100 Lake Shore Rd in Hamburg is right on the lake with great view and outdoor dining patio overlooking the water. Kid friendly with excellent and very generous fish fry as well as good beef on weck and Buffalo wings. Patio can get a bit crowded especially during "happy hour" but inside dining rooms also offer great lake views. Hope you have a great trip and enjoy your stop-over in the Buffalo area.

Since you are staying in East Aurora you have definitely hit the mother lode as far as Wings and Beef on Weck go. You are not going to find better than BarBill anywhere.
For a great steak and salad Hutch's on Delaware Avenue near Gates Circle in Buffalo is hard to beat. I have had steaks there that have been every bit as good as those I've had at Morton's, Ruth Chris, Capital Grill, etc and at a much better price.
BEEF ON WECK IN BUFFALO, NY
I second the recommendation of BarBill in East Aurora for great beef on weck as well as wings. Another great beef on weck is to be found at Eckl's in Orchard Park. Both of these places are worth the trip from downtown - they really are best of kind.

Here is another vote for BarBill in East Aurora for both beef-on- weck and wings. Also Eckl's in Orchard Park makes an excellent beef-on-weck.
Buffalo- best places
Agree with Anchor Bar for wings. If you have a car would recommend Eckl's in Orchard Park, a southtown suburb, for the best beef-on-weck around. Nice family atmosphere with a comfortable bar and club type dining room as well as a more family oriented one.
Also, in East Aurora, also a southern suburb, the Bar-Bill has great beef-on-weck and wings. Very casual bar atmosphere - friendly service.
For more upscale dining in town recommend Hutch's on Delaware Avenue just above Gates Circle. Great chili relleno appetizer and a NY strip as good as those found in Morton's type steak houses.
