Top Mexican Restaurant

I'll be in Chicago this weekend visiting family and I just remembered that I saw on a TV show that there is a Top Rated Mexican restaurant in Chicago. I don't remember the name but it was definitely on a food network show. Anyone know which one I'm talking about? Any thoughts? Should I go there?!

Good brunch place in Columbia, MD

I'm meeting some girls for brunch on a Sunday in Columbia. Any good places? Someone suggested Clydes. Great atmosphere, not sure what kind of brunch menu they have.

Just moved from LA...need REAL Mexican!

Hm...well, last I checked the places I went to in LA were run by, cooked by and served by Mexicans. Tito's Tacos, La Cabana. I don't think you can really argue that it's not really Mexican. I'm talking about where the chips are homemade, the refried beans are fabulous and they know what a real fish taco is. or dare I say, some fabulous Sopes. I don't want tex mex, I can find that in plenty of places. I want the place that most people in DC don't know about and won't go to because they think the food is weird.

Just moved from LA...need REAL Mexican!

I'm originally from Maryland but have lived in Los Angeles for the past six years. Now I'm back and my Mexican tastes have changed since living in LA. Everyone here thinks that Rio Grande is good Mexican!! ha ha! I need some real, authentic, hole in the wall Mexican in the Bethesda/Rockville or surrounding areas. Help!!! A good sushi place too if anyone knows of one...

Lido Grill,Marina Del Rey

Funny, I was just going to reply to my own post. I went two weeks ago and kind of agree. My husband said he would go back but I wasn't impressed by any of the dishes. They were either too bland or too salty. The only one I liked was a bread thing with cheese and honey on top and that's not really cooking! BUT, they don't have a liquor license yet so it's BYOB and no corkage fee. So we polished off two bottles of wine and the dinner cost us less than $70 for four people!! I wouldn't rush back and I definitely wouldn't drive there if I didn't live within walking distance. However, they've only been open for like two months. I might try it again in about five or six months to see if the menu has improved.

The last post is February 22nd. I know this place is open and in full swing. Anyone been since the last post? I really want to try it and also live within walking distance. Would love some feedback if anyone has been.

Dinner and Drinks in Laguna/Dana Point

I'm taking my husband away for a night to the Mariott Laguna Cliffs in Dana Point for his birthday. I wanted to plan a nice meal and maybe a drink afterward. It doesn't have to be the most expensive restaurant, but somewhere nice and romantic.

Perfect dinner after the theater??

My husband and I and another couple are going to see Wicked on a Sunday afternoon in August. We want to go to "dinner" after the show is over which I would imagine will be around 4:30 or 5:00. Neither of us live in Hollywood so we'd like to go somewhere with excellent food that's not too pricey (moderate would be good). Whataya got for me?!?

Fun restaurant in Downtown Baltimore

steamed shrimp appetizer and a yummy crab cake. I always like to get crab cakes when I go back to Maryland. It's the only place I'll eat them!

Fun restaurant in Downtown Baltimore

In town visiting my parents and want to go out for dinner downtown in Baltimore on Friday night (tomorrow). They never go downtown so don't know what places are good. I haven't lived here in 10 years. Somewhere near the water is always nice. Any good suggestions?!

Must Eats Before I go??

I couldn't agree with you more about Mexican. I will miss that the most (and probably sushi too). I will be moving to Chicago. But I still have a year to enjoy all that LA has to offer. I've started making a list already!!
