Best Turkish food in London?
Thanks for the suggestion.
Maybe I should clarify a little. My native-New Yorker friends insist that the Turkish food in NYC is significantly better than what's in London. We have a sort of unofficial wager going about this...
And I'd love to be able to prove them wrong!
Best Turkish food in London?
My boyfriend and I are from NYC and will be traveling to London soon. Any recommendations for especially good Turkish restaurants? We are both graduate students, so suggestions for cheaper places are especially appreciated!
Thanks for your help.
Momos?
Any ideas on where to find the best Tibetan momos in Manhattan? (I've tried the ones at Tsampa, and they left a lot to be desired...)
Hound from Manhattan seeks Flushing Chinese Advice
I agree with teresa about the Taiwanese breakfast at King 5: it is so good, so filling, and so cheap. Their soybean milk is awesome.
Also, be sure to stop by the Apollo Bakery, a tiny shop with a green roof that's right around the corner from King 5 (I think it's on 39th Avenue, between Prince and Main St). Their breads and buns are wonderful...much better than the ones in the chain bakeries!
Best Sandwich in Richmond?
I'll throw in my vote for Coppola's, too. I used to live in the fan, and ate there all the time. The sandwiches were always fresh and delicious, and it's nice to support a local business, too. Whenever I come back to Richmond to visit, I always stop by to have one of their sandwiches.
I don't know what the New York Deli is like now, but it used to suck.
Turkish dessert (saray helvasi) in NYC
They might have this at Kalustyan's (123 Lexington Ave). I've seen a few kinds of helva/halvah there.
