Lyric in Yarmouthport
You are the only person I know that has anything good to say about the place. $36 for rack of lamb, consisting of 2 chops. $14 for gnocci consisting of approx 5-6 gnocci's. Don't think I want to chance it.
Baltimore & Annapolis
Annapolis will be more of a late lunch stop on Saturday afternoon. Good wine is always best but fun, casual, varied wine list will work. Thanx.
Baltimore & Annapolis
Coming down for the Red Sox games and need good food. Great wine list is a must. Staying @ Marriot @ Camden Yards Inner Harbour. Planning a Saturday vist to Annapolis. Any and all help greatly appriciated.
Saratoga
I'm going to post this here beacause I know that a lot of people go out to the track from this area. If the administrator wants to move it, thats fine also. Ok. Whats new up there. Haven't been able to find much. Have dined at most all the spots, but looking for something different this year. Just a quick one night stand this time. Fine wine is a must as always for me. Thanx.
Greek Pizza on Cape Cod
Pick one. They are all Greek on the Cape. Not a good Italian Pizza to be found. And trying to be polite, they all suck, at best.
Suggestions for good eats in Yarmouth/West Yarmouth and the surrounding area? (Clams, lobster meat, fish markets, etc.)
May I suggest the Old Yarmouth Inn on RT6A in Yarmouthport. A large bar area, where most everyone is friendly. Excellent wine list. Baked stuffed lobster 1 3/4 lb scallop & crab stuffing, no filler, 39.99. Ross's Grill in P-town for lunch (or dinner). 2nd floor of Whalers Walk over looking the harbor. Beer & once again excellent wine list. For something completley different, Gracies Table, on RT6A in Dennis village for Tapas. Enjoy. Thanx for coming to the Cape.
New York Foodie Family in the Cape
First off, please leave your Yankee's caps ( or Mets) at home. Now we can get to the good stuff. I second The Brewster Fish House. Small, no reservations, nice little wine list, Tina at the bar makes a great Martooni. Full menu at the bar with about 8 seats and two, 2 seat high tops. Early is better. Second is Picies in S. Chatham on RT28. Reservations are needed and taken. Once again nice little wine list, with wine specials. Fish is the focus, but limited other choices. Only about 6 seats at the bar, and it's more of a waiting area. Valet parking. A lunch suggestion would be the Beacon Room on West Rd. in Orleans, Casual and quality. Orleans Wine in the Skatet Corners Plaza (Shaws) has some real nice wine. Lots of high end if you want to go that route. Enjoy. Thanx for coming to the Cape.
Best seafood restaurants near Brewster, MA
Brewster Fish House with out a question. Downside is they don't take reservations. However with suck a large group it would be worth a call. More of an adult place, but, they stop serving around 8:30, so with the little ones, earlier the better. Freshest of fresh seafood. Alway a special or two. Went Fri nite as Striped Bass season just open last week. Went two weeks ago for the opening of Fluke. Always a lobster dish on. Latley pan roasted. Lobsterb soup/chowder/bisque, however you want to lable it is excelent. Better for the cooler weather. As far as the Dolphin & Mattakesse, both are in Barnstable village, and a little drive from Brewster. Mattakesse is on the Harbour. but very touristy, & the wine list SUCKS. Dolphin has gone way down hill over the past few years. Haven't heard anyling about The Del Mar in Chatham. Just opened. the old Friendly's/Roo Bar. Owned by the folks that own the Paddock in Hyannis. Any more qiestions, I'll try & help. Enjoy. Thanx for coming to the Cape.
Grand Cayman Eats
Thanx for the info. Printing this out to take w/ us on the 24th. Do you have any info on The Brassierie and Papa Gallo's.? Thanx.
Best Trip Ever! Back from Bermuda (Long)
No please, don't let it out. It;s a secret. Shhhhhhhhhhhh.
Bermuda suggestions
I think Blu may set everyonte back a couple months pay, but a good choice none the less. I found the food @ Portofino's & Bistro J to be just so-so. Have not tried Ascots or Little Venice.
Bermuda suggestions
1st off, I find that they're not a lot of "casual" restaurants in Bermuda, unless you like the drunken off the ship bar crowd. That being said, a lot of the nicer restaurants are starting to "dumb" down their dress codes. A nice anniversary spot would be the Port O Call on Front St. in Hamilton. You will see people in suits, but a nice pair of pants & button down shirt is fine. Great food & wine list. Good Martini's also. Small/Very small bar. Reservations help. Also a little more on the casual side is Barracuda's, which is above the Hog Penny Pub in Hamilton. Reservation here also. Greg's Steak House in Hamilton is also a little more on that casual side. I believe it is on Church St. in Hamilton. For the real pub atmosphere try the Hog Penny after a dinner @ Barracuda. There is a Middle Eastern place on Front St, in Hamilton that the name escapes me, but had a nice casual lunch there in the past. 2nd floor with a nice view. The Bermuda web site is so so, but check it out to get some ideas, then check to see if the establishment has its own web site. I'll try to answer any more specific questions. I also hope to be there for Memorial Day weekend, have been for the past several years as well as a fall trip. Enjoy.
Grand Bahama
Well, I guess I'll have to repll to my own post. My choice (2 nites in a row) is La Dolce Vita (What a nice & orginal name). Italian (ya think), on the dockside in the Lucaya Marketplace. Actually all joking aside, home made pasta (flat kind), fresh fish, I had Wahoo w/ white wine & capers over fresh, home made angel hair one nite & the bride had it the next nite w/ mango salsa over fennel. Both excellent. App of eggplant also very good. Wine list has nice selections and reasonable prices. Had a nice bottle of Rose w/ the Wahoo & a Shrimp dish. Staff was very good for an island that is on "Island Pace". A side note to this review. I asked about a French Rest in the International Marketplace. Well don't even think about it. The "International Marketplace" exisist in name only. The buildings area there, some open, most not. It's like a vacant neighborhood. No one told us this, even the tour desk at the hotel. Major disappointment. Please do not get this confussed w/ the Lucaya Market Place. Any questions? Will return to board after 2/11/8
Framingham, MA Help
Forget it. Send them to some place in the city. All the good old spots are gone, never to return.
Grand Bahama
Any one been lately. Going down Superbowl Sunday & haven't been in 2 or 3 years. Never got to the French Rest in the Internation Bazar. Any recs would be welcome. Thanx.
Good food AND watch the game?
Eastern Standard has a large bar & large high top tables in the bar area. I do find it quite loud even when the game isn't on.
51 Lincoln in Newton?
Was there this past Sat nite. Good thing we made a res. Was for 9:00 & arrived early to find a crowd waiting, however was seated at once. Watermellon steak app was ok. It seems the sweetness was taken out of watermellon by the process. perhaps not the season for watermellon. The app/strange/unique liquor pairings were very interresting, however did not try. Wine list is very good(big thing for me). Entree prices, I thought were very reasonable. We could have got out of there cheap, but $50 bottle of wine, glass of Cava to start & $15 glass of 1997 Ramos Pinto port & desert kinda put usover the top. Peacan pie special desert was very good. Much brighter/alive atmosphere then when it was Le Soir. I'll try to answer any futher questions. Salute
Spiga...Needham St
Better directions & address please. Wine list comments. Bar?. Thanx.
Annual Holiday Pops Question
This is the annual "where do we go before the Pops" question. Is there anything new in the area. Good wine list is a must. Brasserie Jo is always the good standby. Going in early enough that it doesn't have to be with in walking distance, but close would be nice. Thanx.
Valet @ Abbicci
Do not let the "Valet" @ Abbicci park your car. Upon a recent vist (7/7/07) this is what occured.
Arrival, no problem. Tapas menu ok. out of a lot of items.
This poster does not care if the car was a S---box or a R.R. as to what happened at the end of the night.
It was rather late and two of the wait staff were leaving also. Upon exiting, no valet was to be found. The wait staff went back inside, to try and find the keys or the valet. I could see my car in the lot. No luck by the staff in finding either. They (both a male & female) were getting a little dissapointed with their valet at this point, as well as myself. At this point I walked over to my car and guess what I found? The key was in the drivers side door. On top of that, the drivers side window was down. The two wait staff were just as pissed as I was at his point. They took me back inside to try "and make things right". This is when is gets good. Upon re-entering the building the valet "re-appeared". He stated that it was policy not to touch the windows and to leave the keys in the door. So I guess if it rains and you left the windows down when you went in it's tough s---. It also must be ok if a person walks onto the lot and takes the keys from the door and puts them in the ignition . At this point "Mario" the manager steps in ,in deffense of the the valet and puts his two wait staff in a very uncomfortable position. 6 days later no phone call as to how they might correct this problem. The customer is always right, wrong. Park your own car & take your keys.

Any first hand or printed reviews for Robert Mondavi 2000 Oakville Cab. Thanx.
Worst of the Cape?
How about the Skipper in S. Yarmouth & what about the prices vs the quality (if any) at the Yarmouth House on Rt28 in W.Yarmouth.
Worst of the Cape?
How about the Breakfast Room and not really the Cape but the Islands, The Navigator in Edgertown is the worst.
