Need Bakery suggestions for Anniversary Cake-Denver Area

Could you please help with recommendations for a delicious bakery in the Denver area (we're actually staying in Castle Rock)? Looking for reasonable prices. Celebrating parents 30th wedding anniversary and will be a group of about 10 people.

If at all possible, I'd like stay in the southern part of Denver to minimize the amount of driving.

Thanks in advance!

Sunday Brunch on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day

Looking for low to mid range breakfast buffet type place on Sunday or Monday, prefer Sunday.
I like the traditional breakfast stuff, pancakes, waffles, bacon, eggs, carved meats, etc. Any ideas? Prefer someplace that is buffet style so we can try different things rather than a la carte. we're willing to drive anywhere but live in the East Valley.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks for North recommendation..

We had a great lunch at North in Scottsdale (Kierland Commons). I ordered the Shrimp Fettuccini and my friend had the Chopped Chicken Salad, both were delicious. Service was great and very friendly. We had the fried calamari appetizer and it was good but not the best. The total was just about 40 with tip and everything so not too bad!

Thanks again for the recommendation, looking forward to trying Zinc Bistro and Flo's one of these days. So many places, so little time!

Good place for lunch in North Scottsdale??

Thanks everyone! I agree $25 is a bit much for lunch but I was mostly thinking after drinks, appetizer, etc.. it would equate to about $25 each.

I'm really liking North's lunch menu. :-) So we may try that. If I can find a website for Zinc I'll check them out, I hate going to someplace if I don't know what's on the menu.

Thanks again, very helpful!

Good place for lunch in North Scottsdale??

Need a recommendation for a good place for lunch in the area of Frank Lloyd Wright and Scottsdale Rd. Flexible on area but need it to be close to the 101. Trying to do something different other than the normal chain places. I'm taking a close friend out to lunch. We like american, italian, chinese, BBQ, pretty much anything but mexican. Budget: I don't have a huge budget and am not looking for super fancy, we are looking for a sit down place that's reasonable (less than $25/entree)

Would really appreciate some ideas as I'm not too familiar with that area.

Thanks in advance!

Cooking classes: worth it?

I've taken a class at Sur La Table (knife skills) and it was a joke. I was interested to see responses because I would like to take classes here and there also. But I was not impressed after that one class.

Pies to order - Phoenix, Tempe area

You guys are making me hungry with all this pie talk! I've seen a place called Pie in the Sky up in North Scottsdale on TV before and their pies looked to die for. But haven't had the chance to try them. I think a trip to Karsh's might be in order, I'm craving pie now!

PHX Personal Chef Rec?

Hunt,

Glad I could help! They are a small business so I really liked that I got personal attention and the food is prepared just like I would at home and it wasn't like I was ordering from "Schwans" or some crap like that. I wish I could order every week..

PHX Personal Chef Rec?

I would highly recommend Tailor Made Meals. We've used their service several times and it's always been great food and a huge timesaver. I was looking at a personal chef but they wanted a commitment each week and much of it was to be frozen. Tailor Made Meals is a weekly fresh delivery and we've been able to order whenever we want. I think the website is www.tailormademeals.com. Hope this helps, if you use them let them know that Rebecca sent you as they have a referral program so I can some free meals.
