Vegetable Tandoori
Yup. Been there - it's great. Hoping for something new... Thanks!

Where'd you eat out on Christmas Eve/Day?
We ate at Le Verdure in Eataly.
It was our first time and it was fantastic.
Best of all - Eataly was rather quiet. No waits, no lines.
It was perfect.

Vegetable Tandoori
Looking for a great Indian restaurant in Manhattan with vegetable tandoori (we are vegetarians).
Open to price and area.
Thanks!
Festive Dinner - Anywhere in Manhattan - Christmasy!
Thanks - that's a lil too expensive though...
Festive Dinner - Anywhere in Manhattan - Christmasy!
I'm looking for a very festive, decorated and warm restaurant to go to dinner.
We are open to location in Manhattan. We really just want something to get us in the Christmas spirit (think fireplace, electric trains, etc).
We are both vegetarian so a place with some veggie options would be best (Italian, Asian, etc typically works well).
Nothing crazy expensive - just a nice night out.
Thanks!!
ISO Cold Noodles and Sesame Sauce
I'm also a huge fan of the noodles at Grand Sichuan on 55th and 2nd.
They are not overly creamy or overly spicy. Yum!
Vegetarian visiting New York for the first time! (on a budget!)
Caravan & Blossom are good - I wouldnt call them cheap.
I'd suggest checking out Buddha Bodai in Chinatown - vegetarian chinese!
Good Health Burger on E 53rd is good too!
Rehearsal Dinner Near Waterbury, CT
Wow - I think you're spot on!!! It looks awesome. I'm going to call them tomorrow! Yay! Thanks so much!
Rehearsal Dinner Near Waterbury, CT
My partner and I are getting married in Morris CT in June.
We are from NYC. Most of our guests will be traveling from NJ and Long Island and staying in Waterbury.
We are looking for a rehearsal dinner place near Waterbury for the night before the wedding for about 30 people.
We are trying to avoid Italian, as that is what we are serving at the wedding. Also, my partner and I are both vegetarian, so something like a steakhouse is out.
We are hoping to find something fun, relaxed and hip. We checked out Vintage in Waterbury. It was ok, but not quite our vibe.
Any recommendations????
Thanks!
Los Gatos Rehearsal Dinner and Brunch
Thanks.
We just got back and loved the area!!!
I think we'll do the brunch at Dio Deka at Hotel Los Gatos.
California Cafe looked good, although they didnt have one room that would fit everyone. They also wont do a price fixed beverage (wine/beer) menu, making it difficult to budget.
Wine Cellar has a minimum of $10,000 for a party of our size - out of the question!!
We passed by Valerianos and it was either out of business or under construction. Any idea?
Thanks for the responses. I'm still searching for the dinner place!!
Los Gatos Rehearsal Dinner and Brunch
Thanks. We are visiting next week and will check a few of these out.
What do you know of Valerianos?
Los Gatos Rehearsal Dinner and Brunch
It may be all 80 as they are all traveling in for the weekend.
Thanks.
Los Gatos Rehearsal Dinner and Brunch
I am planning a wedding at Nestldown in Los Gatos, California for April 2009.
My partner and I are planning this from NYC and are not familiar with the area at all.
We will have about 80 guests who will be staying in the area.
I am looking for a good restaurant for the dinner before the wedding (Friday night) and a nice place for brunch the morning after the wedding (Sunday).
I'd say the price-point should be moderate. We have no restrictions on cuisine. We just want good quality food, great service, and a fun time. I'd say the only requirement is that the restaurants should be in or very close to Los Gatos.
Any help would be great!!!
Chinese Food Recommendations - Central NJ [moved from Tristate board]
The only two I have read about on here are Grand Shanghai on Route 1 and Shanghai Park on Route 27 in Highland Park.
Have you been to either of those?
Chinese Food Recommendations - Central NJ [moved from Tristate board]
Can anyone provide recommendations for a great Chinese food restaurant around New Brunswick, NJ?
Thanks!
Chinatown Picks
My partner and I are heading down to Chinatown tonight.
I've narrowed our choices down to 4:
Moonhouse
Cantoon
New Green Bo
Amazing 66
We love dumplings, noodle dishes, spicy (not crazy) food, fresh fish dishes.
We were at New Green Bo once and loved it. Should we just go again or try one of the others?
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Best Pub (Non Upper East Side Frat Party)
In the mood for some good pub food. I would love a great burger and a beer and my partner is thinking something like Fish & Chips.
Any area of Manhattan is fine.
We are looking for a place that is more restaurant/food than crazy bar scene - more London than Upper East Side.
Suggestions?
TIA!
Chinese Grocery
Yea- I've been there. It's much more Japanese than Chinese. I'm not sure it'll do. Thanks!
Chinese Grocery
I need a bunch of Chinese ingredients for a recipe.
Are there any Chinese groceries on the Upper East Side or Midtown? I don't feel like going to Chinatown for a few small items.
TIA!
Outdoor Dining- San Diego Area
I'm visiting San Diego from New York City and am looking for a nice, relaxing outdoor dining experience. I'd prefer something on the water.
We have a car and don't mind driving.
Cuisine is open - sushi, seafood, italian...
Nothing crazy expensive - max $50 pp
Any recommendations?
TIA
BBQ in Dallas
I too am visiting Dallas and looking for good BBQ. Which of these places would have a decent atmosphere to sit down with business colleagues?
Hookah Cafe
In the mood for good middle eastern food tonight. We live in the East 60s. Has anyone eaten at the Hookah Cafe on 60th near 2nd Ave?
Thanks
New Years Eve
We have reservations at Lever House for now. Not sure if we'll keep them or not...
Warm Brownie with Ice Cream
Maybe I will try Little Owl. I heard it's great anyway!
I hate that the best ones are at chains - Pizzeria Uno, Outback, etc.
Warm Brownie with Ice Cream
My favorite dessert is a hot brownie with vanilla ice cream.
One of my favorites is the chocolate cobbler at Cracker Barrell.
Has anyone encountered a fabulous brownie/ice cream dessert in Manhattan?
