Exciting food near PATH stations

You might want to check out Azya. It's a short walk from the 33rd street PATH. The white truffle pizza is great! If it's a nice day, I would sit outside, the inside is on the smallish side.

I really love the pancakes at Blue Fin. Flavors change with the seasons.

good chicken pot pie

Bar Americain has a really good Chicken Pot Pie, although it's made from smoked chicken, but has a nice smokey flavor.

Near Empire State Bldg... Smoking Allowed?

The drinks at Local West are horrible!

You could try Ayza on 31st between 5th and Broadway. They have outdoor seating and you can smoke there. Food is decent and service is excellent.

looking for drinks & small plates in soho

I think the best drinks in SoHo are at Bar 89, 89 Mercer. However, they don't have small plates and even the appetizers are huge, although you could get 2 and share.

Close to Penn Station, is there a nice place to meet for drinks

Check out Ayza, it's a new wine and chocolate bar on 31st. Very small, but has a nice bar area and outdoor seating. Small dishes, everything we had there was very good.

Great cocktails and reasonably priced food?

Check out Bar 89, fantastic coctails! They can order several appetizers and share, they are huge and resonable. The drinks are expensive though, but potent and big.

Please Help a Tourist

David Burke at Bloomingdale's has a pretzel pannini, with chicken and provolone. I've never had it, but the sliders are god.

best place for pancakes?

Went to Blue Fin this morning and had white peach pancakes served with lemon marscapone, black berrys and warmed maple syrup.... very good!

What is good near 59th and Lex?

Burke in the Box is pretty good, although it can be hit or miss. I usually love the sliders and dumplings. Service is great at the bar, don't know how it is at tables.

Incredible grilled cheese?

I love the grilled cheese at Bar 89. Four kinds of cheese, thick bacon slices and tomato. Yum, now I am going to have to go tomorrow.

Delicatessen

Has anyone been yet? I am thinking about going this weekend. Any suggestions?

Looking for lunch options in Soho

Lure Fishbar

I agree that Clinton St has great pancakes, but I also love the pancakes at Blue Fin.

Eating alone in NYC - Man - Martini's?

If your looking for an old school place, I would go to Fanelli Cafe, Prince at Mercer in SoHo.

Search Question

Why is it when I do a search, they are not listed by most recent? I often have to go through several pages to get some recent posts. Almost makes it not worth it and just do a new post.

Bloody Mary/Sandwich/Burger place?

Bar 89 on Mercer in SoHo. Great burgers and sandwiches, and even better drinks!

Mesa Grill review

A friend and I went there for lunch on Friday. The blue corn pancake with bbq duck was amazing, as was the smoked lamb cobb salad. The pressed cuban burger was good, but the tuna and salmon tartares were just ordinary. Service was a bit spotting, waited about 20 minutes for our first round of drinks. Other than that, an enjoyable experience.

Afternoon Tea for a 9 year old girl

I want to take my 9 year old out for afternoon tea this weekend. I was thinking of Alice's Tea Cup, but I remember reading somewhere there's a place that does afternoon tea catering to children. I tried a search but didn't come up with anything. Any ideas?

Lunch with two teenagers - help!

My ol' stand-by is Bar 89. Really good sandwiches, burgers and salads. Chic and trendy atmosphere. And the girls will love the bathrooms! It will give them something to talk about for quite awhile!

Good outside dining in Manhattan?

If a restaurants outdoor seating area is large enough, a certian percentage of the seats can be designated as smoking.

Special Occasion Dining: Graduation

The only place I can think of that fits your bill would be my old standby, Bar 89. They could fit you in the loft area. http://bar89.com/

Or perhaps Nolita House, although I don't think it would match your "memorable atmosphere."

Theme Restaurants

How about Ninja? I haven't been, but I have heard the food is good.

Corned Beef Hash

Saw Rachael Ray making Corned Beef Hash this morning which is making me crave a really good corned beef hash. Anyone know where to get to get really good hash? Neighborhood not a problem, but would prefer somewhere in the SoHo area.
