You are absolutely correct its puerto rican. But most traditional dishes you get at your local hispanic restaruant can be found at La Casona. The difference is that they offer dishes that are native to puerto rico like mofongo.

Crab Shack? in St. Petersburg

The crab shack on gandy is pretty rustic. No newspapers, but u get a little basket loaded with crabs, a roll of paper towels and some medievil devices.

La Casona on Hillsborough and Armenia(roughly) is by far the best hispanic restaruant in town. Being hispanic and a picky eater, especially when it comes to my cultural dishes. I've found that La Casona's food is by far the best I've had in the Tampa Bay area. No Contest.

Dinner with the Boss in Tampa

For excellent Mexican go to:

Vallarta's Mexican Restaurant
9212 Anderson Rd
Tampa, FL 33634
(813) 901-8027

If you want to do the pricey encounter, Bern's always works.

French Restaurants in Tampa/St.Pete Area

Thank you so much.

I would agree strongly to stay away from La Teresita. Not only for health reasons but for the fact that its spanish food is just barely acceptable to hispanics like myself who know the difference. For an amazing cuban sandwich that is authentic as any I'd go to Pipo's on Waters Ave. Absolutely awesome, with real roast pork - the way all cubans should and must be! For cuban/puerto rican food La Casona on Armenia and Hillsborough is by far one of the top places around. Known and loved by hispanics, who are its faithful client tel, its a secret we like to keep to ourselves.

French Restaurants in Tampa/St.Pete Area

There is not a day that passes that I don't long for pate, and a nice lamb roast. It seems that Tampa/St.Pete is totally devoid of a good french restaurant where I can enjoy many culinary delights. Can someone help me find a great french restaurant in the bay area?
