Baltimore Style Pit Beef in NYC?
I like to try regional specialties , and I also am big fan of The Wire. Few years back , driving up 95 back to nyc i stopped off in Maryland , and got myself a pit beef w/horseradish @ a lunch type place with a nice line of local /workers(construction type) . on a hard roll , may of been onion roll , doubt u find up here . Brooklyn is known for RB hero , but is different . is like arby's rb sandwich (similar/style -not taste) . I have asked a few 'Bodymore' natives about sandwich , and one never even heard of it . maybe like a asking for a 'wedge' in brooklyn ?

east side of Lex between 40th/39th GOOD Portions , tasty asian ,Pac rim food . casual open saturday and sunday . can get dish for under 7 $ .

9th avenue , has a few bakeries. between 34th and 50th . Drawing a blank w/ name . better on is on W side of 40's also has bruno Ravioli sign , (product availables)

willies steakhouse on Westchester ave ,under el 6 train.. Cuban styled steaks, not bad . West of Castle hill ave , few blocks . near the club triangle.

I could be wrong , since no one mentioned it . But Glasers on 1 st ave and 87th , is German themed , they are more known for their black/white cookies , but i do know they have some German treats.

the Pump is on east 31st , and e 50th , extremely healthy . 31st delivers to 42 nd . the Western Wrap tastes great , with a little s and p and/or hot sauce. The rest of the menu might not be so flavorfull.
