It's been a while, but my favorite dish at MC's is the suan la chau shou (sp?). Wonton dumplings in an amazing spicy sauce. Haven't found anything quite like it anywhere else.

Hi all,

Looking for suggestions for an upcoming anniversary dinner. In particular, a romantic setting, nice but not stuffy or overly formal. Ideally looking for South End/Back Bay/Downtown, though a bit flexible.

Have been considering Pigalle, Troquet, or possibly Mistral. Have never been to any of them - any thoughts?

Best Chinese outside of Chinatown?

I wandered into Golden Temple one afternoon when I was in the neighborhood and starving for some chicken wings. When the waiter saw me, he did a double take and asked if I was chinese. I said yes, and then he asked me, in chinese, what I was doing here (clearly suggesting that there were better places to get authentic chinese food). I replied in chinese that I was just here for the wings, which seemed to satisfy him, lol.

Post-Dinner Cafe/Bar Near Chestnut Hill

Hi all,

I'm planning on making an Oishii run this Saturday evening (braving the long wait), and am looking for suggestions for a place to go afterwards for dessert and/or drinks. Cozy/romantic would be ideal. Any suggestions? In particular, would the nearby Met Club bar fit the bill, or would it be too packed?
