We had a very pleasant meal at Con Murphy's at the Windsor. The service was great as was the beer selection. The food was well prepared and tasty The best part was a desert of caramel ice cream and cinnamon apples. My compliments to the staff and management - welcome to the neighborhood.

Chinese food quest in the suburbs
We had dinner at Szechuan Garden Inn, on Lancaster Ave(in Ardmore in the parking lot behind the bike store) We were impressed with the food as well as the service. The steamed chicken dumplings were unusally good. When I asked the owner about them, she took great pride in the fact that she makes the noodle dough herself. This is a great hidden find.

Since we will have a large reception here on the East Coast this summer, keeping costs down for the wedding in San Jose would certainly help. An interesting ethnic restaurant would work well as would a brunch.

Vegetarian Dim Sum
Had a great meal at New Harmony Vegetarian in Chinatown. The all you can eat dim sum special for $12 was fresh, cooked to order and varied. Can't wait to go back.

the original poster, me, thanks you for your help - the Se San Diego is a new hotel that, I beleive, is in the Gaslight District. We're celebrating our 40th anniversary with a trip to San Diego - our first non businss related visit . We're looking for places a short walk from the hotel that are unlike places we have at home in Philadelphia. Outdoor seating is a plus.

yes, at Grand Central so I know I'll enjoy the food court there especially when I'm alone. My husband will have several meetings that involve meals. When we're together, we would like someplace easy and stress free -pub food or ethnic places usually work for us.

Onasis in Cherry Hill
I had a great meal at Onasis, in Cherry Hill, across from the old race track. The owner/chef welcomed us and was helpful in suggesting a fresh fish, on display over ice. All in all, a pretty room with fresh food.

Nice lunch spot in Devon/Stafford area
My mother lives in the area and only likes simple food. She uses a walker so easy parking is a must. We've been having lunch at the Paoli Diner on Lancaster Ave. near 252 and it works for both of us - the Greek specialties are fine for me and she orders pancakes.
