In Search of Small Plates/Tapas to share

Hello.

I am looking for a restaurant/lounge that has an extensive small plate/tapas menu. I'd love to be able to order a few small dishes to try different things, and not have to spend an absolute fortune. I'm looking for delicious food, and an upbeat environment. I'll be heading to the MOMA first, but am willing to travel anywhere in the city for this type of restaurant. I'm just craving it! Looking forward to hearing your responses. Thanks in advance!

In Search of BEST HAPPY HOUR FOOD

Hello Hello my fellow Chowhounders,

I am in search of the best happy hour food for the price. In other words, best bang for your buck. Anywhere in San Francisco would be fine, any style of cuisine, and would like a pretty cool atmosphere. Look forward to your recommendations. You never let me down.

TOP FIVE TASTING MENUS in SF

Hello my fellow Chowhounders,

My fiance and I are celebrating our anniversary, and I have been dying to try a tasting menu that will just enhance how special the night is. So I am asking for your help by listing your top 5 tasting menus in SF or surrounding areas. We welcome any type of cuisine, as long as it is absolutely delicious, and well worth the money spent. Wine pairing in not required, but would be a plus. So thank you for your recommendations. I look forward to reading them.

Top Family Friendly Restaurant in San Diego

Hello,

I am meeting up with a friend in San Diego that I have not seen in five years, and she has two little ones around 5 years old. I am searching for the best family friendly restaurant in San Diego. Please leave me some recommendations. I don't have any kids, and she is not from the area, so we are lost. Thanks so much chowhounders.

MODERN CHIC DECOR WITH GREAT FOOD

Hello Chowhounders,

I am in search of a specific type of decor - Modern Chic. I am not from Southern California, but will be down there next week, and want to enjoy some excellent food, while surrounded by ultra-modern decor. A couple of the places I have found that might foot the bill would be The Penthouse at Huntley Hotel, O-Bar Restaurant, Ocean and VIne, and Eleven. Do you have any opinion on these places, or others that might be of interest. Please let me know. Thanks.

Unique Great Eats In Calaveras County

Hello Chowhounders,

Tomorrow is my fiance's birthday, and we are going to by in the Angel Camp area. We are originally from San Jose, so I would love any recommendations from Angel Camp area to Livermore area, such as Murphys, Stockton, Tracy, Farmington, etc. I know it is kind of a broad range of locations, but I am not familiar with this area, so any of your suggestions would be much appreciated. Any cuisine, moderate pricing, and a unique ambiance. Thank you for your time and help.

Very Unique Experience in Los Angeles

Hello Chowhounders,

I will be in Los Angeles with my boyfriend next weekend, and am in search of the ultimate unique dining experience. Location within LA will not matter since we will be all over; We are open to any type of cuisine; And price is not an issue. We are looking for a place that has quality food, but with an added bonus, such as a show, unusual surroundings, or an extraordinarily upbeat environment. We are from San Francisco, so some places that I would compare what we are looking for down there would be like AsiaSF (though not the highest of quality of food, but a very upbeat atmosphere, and entertaining show), Foreign Cinema (watching movies while you eat), or Supperclub (Eating dinner in bed while watching an interesting attempt at a show). As for LA, I have come across Opaque (dining in the dark), Saddle Ranch, and Gyu-kaku (apparently a japanese BBQ restaurant where you cook your own food). I would love to hear your opinion on these places, and any suggestions that you might think would fall under this category. It would absolutely be much appreciated. Thank you so much.
