Best Indian in East Bay (Fremont?)

If you would like Indian/Pakistani, the best ever is Shalimar. My favorites are the tandoori chicken, chicken kofta (meatballs), and nihari (beef). Not a place for atmosphere, but seriously the BEST food.

Steaks for Birthday on Sat. 11/18

We have always enjoyed Cleo's, it probably depends on the time you go. We've gone on weekend nights, so that is probably the best time when the meat is fresh and not dried out cooking for a long time. Plus, love the pineapple and the amazing fried bananas.

What to get at Manresa?

Wow, do you really think you would have enjoyed the regular menu better or you just wished you hadn't spent the extra $?

What to get at Manresa?

Anybody been there since the chef change? I will be trying it for the first time, what is good to order if we have the courses, or is the tasting menu the best way to go and worth the extra cost?

The House or Slanted Door?

LOVE The House, definitely one of our favorite restaurants and reasonable prices. Sea Bass is the best.

But, haven't tried SD because of mixed reviews and we have so much good cheap Viet around.

Late night dining near SFO?

Need to pick up friend from SFO at 9:20pm, what can we go eat then? She would like Asian, and maybe Asian desserts - anything nearby or south of there?
Thanks!

Dinner recs near Union Square?

Hubby and I are getting a rare break from the kids and staying in near Union Square this weekend. Where should we go for great food for dinner? We're all about the food quality, and open to anything.

Recs for 10th Anniversary in Orange County

Celebrating our anniversary and was originally going to have Spago's tasting menu, but I think now we will be in Dana Point at that time so would like to go somewhere closer to that for dinner.
We're mostly interested in the food (wine doesn't matter) and enjoy tasting menus.
Thanks!

Sounds great, might be going with Providence.
How much is the tasting menu at Spago? Couldn't find any info on their site.

Thanks guys!
We usually eat Asian often, so I don't know about Mako for the special occasion, maybe we'll get to try it on another day. Urasawa does sound tempting but is more $ than planned, I would probably aim for up to around $100/pp for food.

#1 rec for 10th Anniversary

I am from Bay Area but will be in LA vicinity for our 10th. Where to go? We're all about the food, wine/drinks not important.
A little research has me looking at The Dining Room (Pasadena), Melisse, or Maison Akira. Would you recommend one of these or something else?
