Looking for Caribbean/Jamaican Off-Premise Caterer Rec's in Baltimore

Hello, my community is going with a caribbean/jamaican theme to this year's annual Summer adult night. I am looking for solid off-premise caterers who specialize in Caribbean/Jamaican cuisine who will also be able to serve it at our site.

Thanks in advance!

Need Rec's for Sunday Brunch in Hunt Valley

I am meeting an old friend for brunch this Sunday. I'd like to stay somewhere close to where she lives, in the Hunt Valley area. Need some rec's.

Thanks!

Fazzini's in Cockeysville

I have heard good things about the pastas at Grano's in Hampden, on the Avenue.

Ale Mary's

Kisling's french onion soup is incredible too!

Update on former Taste location in Belvedere Square

Panmalv - can you elaborate a little more on the food?

Baltimore: Pre-opera dinner?

Wherever you choose, make sure they can get you in and out on time. I have heard horror stories about a certain place mentioned above that is notoriously slow with pre theatre events. Enjoy!

Birthday Rec's needed: Chameleon Cafe vs. Clementine

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I am actually now thinking about some place else - I am not encouraged about what I've been reading on Clementine. And I think Chameleon is too quiet for a dinner with my girlfriends.....

Birthday Rec's needed: Chameleon Cafe vs. Clementine

I am looking for a rec on birthday dinner for four of us gals. I've been dying to try Chameleon Cafe but have been reading nice things about Clementine too. I wanted to try something over in Hamilton/Lauraville and while price point is important I want the food to be memorable as well as fun atmosphere.....

Need Recs Bel Air, MD

Scotto's or Savona's. Scotto's ia bit more upscale of the two, but the food is consistently solid. Agree with Carey - Italian Sensations is an excellent upscale pizza joint. Pastas are surprisingly fresh.

Bar food, beer, and trivia in South Baltimore?

Big fan of Berts NTN/buzztime trivia. Food is so-so but the trivia competition is fierce!

Mexican food in the Balto burbs

What about el Salto on Joppa Road/Perring Parkway? I've been a few times and have been very pleased.

Bar food, beer, and trivia in South Baltimore?

Does the Wharf Rat do buzztime trivia?

Visiting The Baltimore Area

For local flavor how about Gertrude's at the BMA? The menu is very Chesapeake influenced and if you sit outside next to the sculpture garden it's gorgeous.

Good Eats in Fells Point/Little Italy??

Try Blue Moon on Aliceanna Street for breakfast. Their omlettes are awesome and don't miss their homemade cinnamon buns. The place is tiny, so expect a wait, but enjoy!!

Lunch options - try to get up to DiPasquale's in Highlandtown (east of Patterson Park, west of Canton) for incredible, fresh Italian sandwiches for lunch.

Try Peter's Inn in Fells Point or Heninger's for dinner. If you want Italian, in Little Italy there's Amicci's, Chiapparelli's, or if you are at a higher price point, Aldo's. I've heard great things about Cafe Gia, but have not been yet, but 'hounders seem to love it.

Snacks - Piedgrotta on Central Ave or Vaccaro's in Little Italy for Italian desserts.

Sliders...

Salt's kobe beef / foie gras sliders are by far, hands down, the best I've ever had. They aren't cheap, but are amazing. Enjoy!

Newcomers to Baltimore

I like Peter's Inn and One-Eyed Mike's in Fells Point.

Nasu Blanca in Locust Point.

Woodberry Kitchen in Clipper Mill.

The Dogwood and McCabe's in Hampden.

Baltimore vs Washington for "red sauce" Italian Restaurants.

Vinnie's? Did you mean Sammy's?

Reasonably priced Baltimore Res. for nice date on a Saturday night?

Go for Henninger's in Butcher's Hill. Great first date vibe. Its cozy and intimate without seeming forced. Good luck but most of all, have fun!

Fells Point and vicinity

Maybe it's just the meetings at my company which never seem to end. My bad.

Fells Point and vicinity

Second Henninger's, Peter's Inn and One-Eyed Mike's. These are all excellent, unique Fells Point haunts. Althought technically Henninger's is more upper Fells/Butcher's Hill. If you're headed up to Butcher's Hill, check out SALT on Pratt Street. I cannot say enough good about SALT.

Planning Visit to NYC - March. Need Rec's...Aureole worth a visit?

I was able to snag a reso at Eleven Madison Park - so now I have to decide between that and Aureole.

Chowhounders help - EMP vs Aureole?

Planning Visit to NYC - March. Need Rec's...Aureole worth a visit?

OK, this is making me a little nervous. For this kind of money, I want to be WOWed.

Any other suggestions for something at this price point? I need to move on this quick, I've already called Gramercy Tavern and they don't have anything until 10:30 pm....which is way too late.

Need Chowhounder help, fast!

Planning Visit to NYC - March. Need Rec's...Aureole worth a visit?

How is Aureole? We have reservations for Sat 3/22. Is it as good as it used to be? What to order?

Also - need rec's on best NYC pizza close to Grand Hyatt (near GCT). Thanks!!

Dessert Recommendations in Baltimore

I've also heard that Piedgrotta on Central Avenue is excellent. Cakes from Patisserie Poupon (Baltimore street) are beyond sublime (but it's not really a dessert place, per se).

Glarus Chocolatier in Harbor East is worth a visit if you are in the mood for excellent, old-world chocolates, made by hand.

Baltimore CITY- best french onion soup?

I always liked Kislings Tavern's FOS. But it's been awhile....

Petite Louis FOS is consistently good.

Need Rec's around Grand Hyatt New York

I'll be in Manhattan staying at the Grand Hyatt NY (near Grand Central) and need some rec's. I'm looking for something New American, moderately priced. Something with a nice vibe, good atmosphere and within walking distance. I am bringing someone who has never been to NYC before (didn't know there were any!) but I do not want touristy!.

Please help 'hounders.

Thanks!

Concert at Myerhoff and Dinner at ??? for Birthday

Brewers Art would be my pick.

Coal Fired Pizza comes to Perry Hall

I think they are pretty much the same. Of course I did not do a side by side comparison.

Super Bowl at Wisp?

I agree with ktmoomau's suggestions. I'd go to Uno's or Pine Lodge.
