I have and did not like it as much as you did. I think the foie got in the way of the burger. Much like the stairway to heaven at burger and beer.

In general, restaurants in miami have improved over the last two years. A very good trend which I hope continues. Your hamburger list does indeed reflect this positive trend.

34 miles plus the fact that San Angel is overrated. It is good but not better than any of the high end restaurants the OP can walk to.

In addititon to CF's recs above, this person is in the same boat as you are so the recs are similar. Note, though zuma does serve sushi, they have a large non sushi menu that is very good. Naoe is a no go for you.

If you don't want to go far. Zuma is right in your hotel and Db Bistro is right across the street. I think Db Bistro is kind of stuffy and prefer Zuma for a date. I think Db Bistro's food is a little better.
I have not been to romeo's cafe in years but if it is as good as I remember, it is a good spot if you are looking for a romantic type dinner.
Azul changed chefs recently, jury is out on this one. Scarpetta is very good but is pretty far from you. In your case, I would do Db or Zuma first. If you want to do italian, I have not been in a long time but Il Gabbiano is much closer to you as well and would make a great date place.
Edit: I forgot about Naoe, I have not been since they changed locations but it was the best restaurant in miami when I went there last and is great for a date. It is chef's selection and a 3 hour meal btw. I would do Naoe over Romeo's.
I have not been but Tuyo should work for you as well, fits great local chef to a t, also the view is spectacular. I have heard great things and it is close by.

I don't think you are going to get an answer quickly to this. He only left 3 days ago and all the regulars know it, so it becomes a very high risk dining experience given the price of the food. I know I am going to wait until the dust settles.

Agreed, even though you should not have an issue with yardbird (it is away from festivities), just getting into the beach is not worth it.

Sardinia is pretty much the same. It is still one of the best italian places in town. As far as worth going to, it may depend if Salumeria is as good or better and how close it is to you. There seems to be a lot of overlap between the two.

I have never had the Nutella from canada (sold in canadian market) but I have heard it was different than and more similar to the european nutella than the one sold in the US.
I have had the Nutella sold in the US and Italy side by side on multiple occasions and I like the one from Italy quite a bit more.

You can try Grazianos, Francesco and Ortanique. I have not been to them in a while though.

CF Have you tried the tripe at Salumeria? In general, how does the place compare to Sardinia. I am having a tough time going there because they seem pretty similar and Sardinia is really close to me.

Pretty difficult as most is manufactured in the US. The best place I found is cerini coffee, if you want it shipped or if you are willing to go to the bronx, which RCC mentioned below. In this case, however, I am looking for a quick pickup for convenience.

Not sure what you are asking, the Nutella sold at most places in the us is made in new jersey, I believe. It is different from, and inferior too the Nutella made in Italy.

Looking for specific dishes that you would miss eating if you had to leave NYC. It does not matter if it is store bought or a specific dish in a restaurant and could be street food or very expensive. Name as many as you like. Normally I have specific cravings I look to fill when I come here but this time I am looking for some fresh inspiration.

Tried the burger at the dutch and thought it was great. Thanks for the rec. I think Bourbon steak is a little better, but not much. If I mention the rare double shack at Shake Shack again Blind Mind will start throwing fritas at me, so I won't do that. I do think you should post the replacement for sustain.

You live once and if you enjoy eating you should do it. If you are worried about capacity, do some cardio in the morning between the first and second meal and you should be fine.
