Anyone tried Vinopolis?

Hello Caraely. It is GREAT fun. I have been lots of times as I take visitors to London there. It really does teach you about wine and there are a couple of great restaurants there - The Cantina is my favourite as it is casual. It's not an amusement park, more of a museum. Depending on how much alcohol you can handle, buy extra tasting tickets when you go in. ALso make sure you get the audio tour. Don't be temptedd to use all your tasting tickets in one go - there are plenty all around and even a gin bar (which I don't do as the wine is enough!). www.vinopolis.co.uk

Positano / Amalfi Coast

So looking forward to spending my birthday early February in Positano although I am fully aware that a) the weather may be dire and b) most places will be closed... Doeas anyone know of good restaurants that will be open in Feb in this delightful Heaven on Earth? Thanks

best chinese in china town

Well we went to Congee Village. It was good but the service was not good at all. When i ordered I had to get my American friends to translate (!) and then they lost our order. It arrived 90 minutes later. But the food was good and my friend said her husband (who is a chef) had wanted to go there for ages and wanted to know how a mere Brit had heard about it! Thanks everyone!

Eating out in Rome

Maccheroni is good and simple food. Great atmosphere, famous faces occasionally (if you like that sort of thing) and you can see through to the kitchens. Really mice staff - let you party and eat all night if you like and order for you if you can't choose. I lived in Rome for a year and this became like a second home.

London - Best traditional British grub, afternoon tea, and fish & chips?

Without doubt the best fish and chips in London is at Brady's in Old York Road - Wandsworth town

Sadly fish and chips in a pub is not a good idea anymore - go to a place that specialises. They even have a wine list!

best chinese in china town

Am visiting NYC in November and would love China town - although I get a little put off witht he lack of hygiene in some of them. Can anyone help with a good clean fun restaurant with great food?

Thanks
