Recommendation for restaurant in SW (L'Enfant) or will travel! for tomorrow
Hubby is down in DC. and just had a pretty lousy dinner in the hotel. I would like to send him a couple of recommendations for tomrrow. I have been reading many of your posts but am having trouble figuring out which of the restaurants that are getting good reviews might be close to where he is staying - at 480 L'Enfant Plaza, SW. . If there are no good choices nearby he is willing to hop on the metro to get to one! Looking for reasonable to midrange (unfortunately is on a non too generous per diem), innovative or incredible prepared food. Is there a place that might fit the bill and have some decently priced/good selection of wines by the glass also? Looking forward to your replies.

I seem to like Sockster's dining choices - must try the crabcake with truffles at Ama's - have been there over a dozen times and never saw the dish! Will report back.
Ama Restaurant ~ Atlantic Highlands?
We have become 'regular' customers at Ama's. Terrific huge scallops in browned butter/sage sauce, wonderful veal bolognese, bronzino is so fresh... In the summer you can sit outside and it is pleasant. The best part is that not only is the food good, but it is a BYOB. Definitely recommend it.
