So delish! I got the Strawberry milk bar. its like 2 bucks for one popsicle... I tried the tamarind one or something. It was one of the water based ones. Not a big fan. But all the creamy ones will get tried in the near future!

Anyone tried new Turkish place in White Plains?

I got take out from here tonight and it was yummy enough to cure a broken heart :-)

I got the sampler of the cold apps...
Baba ganoush was amazingly smokey and smooth. Delicious!
hummus was nice and creamy, but it wasn't like out of this world
the eggplant in tomato sauce was AMAZING!
The yogurty sauce was kinda like tzatziki... It was a little too thick to just eat with the pita, but it would be nice as a spread on a falafel sandwich er sumthin...
The tabbouleh was red! it had a little bit of kick to it and had some scallions... it was great!

The owner guy was nice enough to give me one falafel to try (I asked him nicely!) I loved it. It was hot and fresh out of the fryer. It was very crispy... not exactly moist, so it would probably be best eaten right as you are served.

Everything had great flavor... it was spiced and seasoned perfectly. I will definitely go back to try the meats!

Jamaican In White Plains

Jamaican food coming to White Plains "soon"... It was on Mamaroneck Ave, next to the Mobil station, around pedigree ski shop, CVS, Daido.... I think it used to be a gas station!? I dunno but i don't think it's gonna be like another Golden Krust!

We went there for the first time today for mothers day. We went there at around 3 and it was PACKED! Good thing we made reservations!

So i loved everything. The roasted mush eggplant dip, chicken dip, the nan, and all the kabobs!

All the meats were moist and flavorful. My mom got the filet kabob, and it was nice and tender. The lamb was the best. I got the falafel salad, and this was the only thing that wasn't like omg. I am used to round falafel balls and these were flat discs. The flavor was great but I missed the crunchy outside-mushy inside contrast. There was only like 1/4 inch of chickpea mushiness! Hummus was wonderful though! Dessert was great as well! The baklava sampler was pretty and different from the typical (I guess greek) baklava that i've had. Two of the three baklavas were made with crispy dried like noodles. It was weird but good. The other one was made with phyllo We also tried the frozen rice noodles... how interesting! It was like a really good snowcone with pieces of noodles? I know it doesnt sound appetizing but it was quite good!

The prices were reasonable and the portions were just right. It wasn't an overwhelming amount of food but 2 appetizers and 3 entrees were more than enough for 3 people. The place is really cute and the staff was very attentive even in the chaos of mothers day!

This would be a good place for a light lunch or a dinner. The menu is very accommodating for any kind of appetite!

Yogo Joy frpzen yogurt coming to the village of Scarsdale

Another one of those healthy, frozen yogurt places, kinda like Pinkberry is opening in the space where the stationary store was, right across the street from La Renaissance.... I think they will do very well, especially since the summer days are coming!

Hopefully the toppings are fresh because I've been to places where the toppings just looks like old and gross...

Salad Pizza in Westchester?

I love the salad slice at Il Bacio in Bronxville... its really not THAT great but the fact that it has huge chunks of avocado is good enough for me :-) But its super expensive, but then again, the slice is the size of my steering wheel haha

Seasons White Plains?

I just ate dinner here, and ive been here before..... I think the best way to describe this place is like, the food is good for the price.... The food is by no means bad... its really decent food, and some are very good (ie- Crystal Shrimp Gyoza)
I wouldnt go here to have a really good sushi meal though!

New Restaurant in Crestwood? - moved from Outer Boroughs board

I just had dinner here last night, and I agree with everyones comments about the inside! It's like kinda hip, but also Irish pub like.
So the menu was like interesting. Lot's of Irish food (curry chips, shepherds pie, fish and chips) but it also had like a nice offering of like trying to be a little more upscale food. I guess I got that upscale feeling because the menu was printed in a nice font and the decor was nice. The presentation of the food was actually quite nice.

My date had the shepherds pie and i had sliders! We shared the Irish Nachos (with corned beef!) The Nachos were good but nothing really special, it just had like corned beef scattered around. The sliders I liked, BUT they were like cooked Medium. Which I wouldn't mind but they asked me how I wanted them and I said Medium Rare. I'm sure it's more difficult to cook smaller burgers but then why give the option of medium rare? The onions on them were deliciously carmelized and awesome! The shepherds pie was aiight. It was like in a cute little oval dish. Nothing crazy.

The waiters and waitresses were super nice tho. A lot of times, my enthusiasm of food and the items of menus annoys waiters but they were patient!

Larchmont Eateries - Improving Selection

I went to Lusardis for the first time last friday. I have been to moscato and I love it there... Lusardis did not dissappoint either. The food was just really good all over... the flavors, the combinations of ingredients, the presentation... it was just so good! I had the Red Snapper with grilled vegetables. It was super simple and delish. The fish was cooked perfectly. My date had the veal ravioli..... damnnnnn.... It was really good. For dessert we had the fresh berry tart. MMMmmmmmm.... it was just overall a very good dinner!

Best Cuban in Westchester?

I went this past wednesday and it was my first time eating there. The food was really good and flavorful!!! The fried plantains were perfecto and my shrimp were nice and plump! It was my first time having cuban food and this was definitely a nice intro to it!

Tangerine Thai - Tuckahoe

i had a get together there on Friday night for 10 people at around 9... there was only one other table occupied but I guess it was late.
The waiters were very patient and kind as we had to ask for like 5 checks! At my end of the table, we ordered chicken satay, duck salad, curry puffs, spicy clear noodles with shrimp, green curry, bbq chicken, ginger fish, and shrimp krapow. Overall I really liked everything but the dishes were definitely on the salty side. Not unbearable, but definitely noticeable after eating like 7 bites haha... I must say they are very good at doing SPICY!!!!!! My favorite was the green curry. It had a really rich sweetness at first and then the spiciness kicks in! I really liked that their chicken dishes were quite juicy. I would definitely go back!

OMG I stopped in today to see what they had, and I got a cookie sampler box. And they threw in some Sarah Bernhardts.... it was my first time having a Sarah Bernhardt cookie and omg what an experience! They are amazing! Its a coconut macaron bottom topped with a ganarche dome and covered in chocolate! the cookie part is super light and the chocolate is their usual perfect rich chocolate ganache.... mmmmmmmm
