Cozza's Italian in OC

Had lunch today at Mama Cozza in Anaheim for the first time. This place reminded me of italian restaurants I ate at in Vegas. Very old school. My entree: Eggplant parmigian with a rich marinara sauce. Covered in mozzorella cheese, my stack of eggplant was delicious. The portions were generous. The eggplant was my favorite because it was sliced thin and was not coated with a thick layer of bread crumbs. Each layer had a slice of cheese between making it extra cheesy, just the way I liked it. My lunch mate had their huge seafood salad (krab, shrimp, romaine lettuce, tomotoes). Drizzled in italian dressing, it was a hearty meal for him. I would recommend this special place for more than just pizza. Check it out, it's just 5 minutes from Disneyland.

Wanted: Ideas for a picnic dinner at the Hollywood Bowl

Thanks everyone for all your wonderful suggestions. I sent out an email tonight with all of your wonderful recommendations to the hungry crowd of concert goers. Potluck style seemed like the best fit for our group. You are an amazing web community. We will have a terrific time thanks to you all.

Wanted: Ideas for a picnic dinner at the Hollywood Bowl

A group of us are heading to the Hollywood Bowl for a summer time concert. I was planning to bring the basics like wine, cheese and fruit. Does anyone have creative ideas, recommendations or suggestions on what to bring for a hungry crowd?

Yogurtland in Irvine

So I have tried Pinkberry in LA, Frucci in Pomona and now Yogurtland in Irvine. Waited 20 minutes in line tonight at Yogurtland in Irvine and ended up with about a pound of tart creamy goodness. The self service is a great idea however, you can really go overboard with the toppings. Eating a pound of yogurt is insane but people were guzzling the stuff like there was no tomorrow. There is something wonderful about the tanginess of the yogurt and the sweetness of the fruit. The line could go much faster but two kids at the register were just overwhelmed with too many people. So if you have lots of time and money, stop by this new addition to the yogurt craze.

Thanh in Irvine

When I first moved to Irvine, I had to travel to cities like Garden Grove and Westminster for good vietnamese food. Within the last ten years, the city has seen a boom in asian americans, many who have ties in southeast asia. I was thrilled to see the "asian infusion" occur. So here is my first offering to you as my first post:

I'm a regular at Thanh's and found the help to be excellent. The pho however is much better at Pho Bac on Barranca near Woodbridge Lake. They a Pho Bac near UCI on Jeffrey. Good luck and happy slurping!
