What's Your Favorite Food Movie?

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, 1971

Batali + Ray vs. Flay + Laurentis, Nov 12

I think of them all as chefs- in their own right, and it seems snooty to act like since 2 were catering and cooking for an audiece, not in their own restaurants that they are any less qualified-- they've both had cookbooks on the NY Times Bestseller list--I think the two ladies will kickass n take names quite frankly.

They say the supply is exhausted now--damnit-I would've enjoyed a copy. Isn't he the guy who had a really rough life-then cleaned up his act and became a force in the restaurant biz? that's really a great example for anyone who's trying to overcome adversity.

That's only WITH purchase(retail sale or[wholesale]distribution)-they can give freebies, other than the alcohol itself--promotionally. I have designed premiums for alcohol distributors, that's the only reason I am sure about this, I've heard it discussed professionally too many times to count!

Texas Roadhouse Recommendations?

I have had better CFS, but it's tasty to me- If I wasn't in San Antonio, they just might not know how to cook CFS great, YET up north, just traditionally speaking, give em a lil more time- here you can get CFS almost everywhere, even most of the Mexican Restaurants here have it on the menu. I like ribs, steaks and especially the burgers there--- try not to fill up on the rolls, it's really hard to do!

Krystals-San Antonio-Ingram Park Location Only 4 months and CLOSED?

Wow-- the photocopied signs on the doors and Drive-Thru sign say Restaurant Temporarally (sp) Closed-- They had an hour wait the 1st 2 months -They were always busy-- Then it tapered off a lot-- but not enough to close yet!-- It's comfortjunk to be sure yet they are great little burgers and lil chiks-- maybe somebody sold their stores and it is temporary, but I have a bad feeling 'bout this.
We have no other lil burger flythru --no White Castle--Waaahhhhh!

Texas Roadhouse Recommendations?

They have terrific burgers, lotsa great side choices, so leave the rabbit food at home. My nephew is a Busser there, he's in highschool and it's his first job-- so I've eaten there puh-lenty to keep an eye on him--no wait, it's the otherway around.
But seriously the Chicken Fried Steak is really good, but so are their not so fried items, their cuts of beef are really exceptional--but the dinner rolls and peanuts are the staples that keep me coming back --but don't make my mistake and accidentally eat at Texas Toadhouse, next to the Snake Farm on I-35 outside o' New Branfels-- Chicken Fried Fois Gras is not my cup of tad---I MEAN TEA! It make's me jump just thinkin' about it! Enjoy your meal and (T)-bon(e) appetite!
