Any suggestions for a quiet place, preferably American or Continental, with entrees under $25? Thanks!
Ramen noodles near Lincoln Plaza Theater?
I am looking for a cheap but first date-appropriate ramen noodle joint near Lincoln Plaza. A little help? Feel free to suggest someplace else with entrees in the below-$20 range, also in the same area, of course. Thanks!
suggestions for a great blues or jazz bar?
lenox lounge on west 125th. sylvia's restaurant is just a couple blocks away, so you can make a night of it. the village vanguard is good too, if you don't want to make the trek uptown.
Cheap Date Spot in the West 20's - non-SE Asian

Ten best things to eat in New Orleans
my compliments to celeste for including the banh mi thit nuong at dong phuong on her list. there is a sizeable vietnamese population in the new orleans area and the cuisine is complementary to louisiana cuisine in several ways. although i have been in nyc for the last few years and can't confirm whether it's still as good, i would include the canh chua ca and ca kho to at three happiness on the west bank.
Pho in Manhattan
I have not had much luck finding good pho in Manhattan, but a passable place is Thai Son on Baxter Street just off Canal St. in Chinatown. Nha Trang used to have good pho but the last time I was there the broth was not up to par. Nha Trang is also in Chinatown off Canal St. Try a Google search for the exact addresses for these places if you are interested.
Dinner with little kids
What's a good dining option for a family with a baby and 2 year old in the vicinity of 53rd St. and 7th Avenue?
Cheap steaks
Can anyone suggest a place in Manhattan with quality steaks that are less than $30? Preferably rib eyes.
Authentic Thai
There are a lot of Vietnamese in New Orleans, which makes for some really good Viet places. But I don't think there are many Thais there. I think the Chinese food is pretty sub par as well. I've been away from NO for years now, so this info is pre-K: if you're interested in Viet, assuming they survived Katrina, Dong Phuong on Chef Menteur had a great bakery, Kim Anh (in NOE) had great mi xao, and Three Happiness on the West Bank had phenomenal canh chua ca.
Monica's on Magazine St.
Does anyone know if Monica's corner grocery is still open? It was on Magazine St. but I don't remember the cross street. Amazing shrimp po-boys.
