ISO schmaltz
My dad used to eat schmaltz on a piece of crusty bread. How are you using it?
10PM on Monday in San Jose / Sunnyvale area. Place fit for a first date, dinner, drinks? That does not suck?
I'd have to 2nd Santana Row. Straits is favorite of mine for food and drinks.
Downtown Sunnyvale is mellow and a Monday might just be dead. At least Santana Row has bars and restaurants open late.

Bye bye Tonga Room
It's unfortunate. It was a very kitschy place locked into a 60s Hawaiian timewarp. Maybe with the new Hawaii 5-0 hitting the TV airwaves.. a resurgence of Island fever might give the Tonga Room a boost.

ISO Luzianne tea in San Francisco area
Try Safeway or Target. I have seen the tea at both. My wife is from Louisiana so I have had my fair share of sweet tea and have been on the lookout for Luzianne.
Mexican Food in the Bay Area
I personally enjoy Chipotle.. i do add the Tabasco brand Chipotle sauce on all my food items but on its own the carnitas and chicken options are just as good.
As far as chains.. In-N-Out is a chain as well.. but we like to take our out-of-towners there. I personally would rather go to Chipotle than Chevys any day of the week.
For me, most taquerias are hit or miss.. I am not saying pass up the ones suggested.. but if you are looking for a burrito place.. check out Chipotle.

Yes its a chain.. but a damn good chain if you are looking to get a burrito or tacos.
I am pretty sure you don't have Chipotle in Australia so I suggest checking it out. And I suggest getting the guacamole and tortilla chips.
South Bay - Need Fun Group Dinner Place
I would second Campo Di Bocce I have been there a few times with coworkers for team building and it has been fun. I think the food is more than passable.. I actually thought it was very good.
San Jose Greek Festival report w/ pics
Thanks for the links.. I will have to print out that coupon. I plan on going on Saturday. The only time I get to eat Greek is if I go to Yiassos.
At least this will be the real deal.
I think there is the Tamale Festival in San Jose too this weekend.
