Brockton - specific area

Hey, I go to Stonehill College in the Easton/Brockton area right off 123. Not sure if its quite the area you are asking for but I hope it helps. Here are some of the places to eat around there:
Stoneforge Grill: Probably the best food in the are, new-american with some twists semi-casual

Fresh Catch: If your interested in seafood this is a great option, they also have a good sushi bar.

There is also a 99 and a Bertucci's in the area if your looking for quicker/cheaper meals

Zeppole and Sfinge... ANYWHERE TO GET THEM TODAY?????

sorry I wasn't more specific about area.. I work in Brookline Village but I'm headed back to Easton/Brockton area tonight, anywhere thats remotely on my way (or a little out of it as I'm willing to travel far for pastries) would be great.

Zeppole and Sfinge... ANYWHERE TO GET THEM TODAY?????

I'm looking for the traditional St. Joseph's day pastries (sfinge and zeppole), I know its late to ask...not sure if the north end bakeries do them but I'd prefer something elsewhere in the boston area... anyone know a place????

First batch of cherry Ice Cream in New Cusinart...HELP!!!

Hey there! don't know if you still need help but it's true that this type of ice cream maker tends to yield a icier result than that of a compressor, however there are a few tricks. The ben and jerry's book which i have and love mostly involves philidelphia style,(non-cooked) ice creams, which are icier by nature. Use a custard style base instead(there are plenty of recipes all around) like a french ice cream or gelato base, and add all the same ingredients, this will yield a creamier ice cream. Secondly instead of adding more sugar add a similar flavor liquor( only 1-2tbs though) to your ice cream before putting it in the maker, for cherries, a kirsch although i also love amaretto in cherries garcia. This lowers the freezing point of the cream. I think if you make a custard base and add a little liquor you shouldn't have to chop away at your ice cream after you put it in the freezer.
Good Luck

Help with my Restaurant Column!!!!

Help with my Restaurant Column!!!!

Hey everyone,

I write a restaurant review column for my college newspaper, and I'd love some more ideas for restaurants. My school is 30 min outside the city so I don't get to go in and search around for spots very often, so i'd love some local input. I'm looking for food on the cheaper end (we're in college after all), in the Boston area. If anyone could help me out I'd greatly appreciate it!

Dinner with the Parents

Thank you so much... I gave my parents the option of tapas or italian and they decided on italian so i got a reservation at Mamma Maria. We all loved it!

Dinner with the Parents

I'm looking for a great place to go with my parents and grandparents for my birthday. Price is not really an issue but i'm looking to be able to get in for this Sunday the 29th . My grandfather and father are both old-world Italian cooks so i'm looking for a place to impress them, not Italian necessarily, French, or a Tapas Restaurant would work too. Could some one please help me out?!!
