Paella Pan[Nashville]
I would call Davis Cookware in Hillsboro Village. The stores seems more like a storeroom, but they have everything. Plus knife sharpening for $3 a knife!
Murfreesboro, TN-where to take a client?
I would look into the restaurant the Five Senses. I've never been there, but it's gotten good local reviews, especially by the Nashville Scene.

Nashville's Meat and Threes, the first photo says it all
Arnold's is the first pictured, and probably the best too. It's only open for lunch M-F though.
I recently went to Monell's for the first time, and thought it was almost as good as Arnold's. Monell's is open for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch.
Nashville area - Apple Cider Donuts anywhere?
There aren't many apple orchards and cider mills around here, so your request might be hard to find. However, here is the apple page for picktnproducts.org:
http://www.agriculture.state.tn.us/Marketing.asp?QSTRING=fruit_apples&DISPLAY=Apples
You can call the orchards near you, and find out if they have cider and donuts.
Nashville - Dinner at the Bar
I'd actually go to either Margot Cafe or City House. Either place is great for eating dinner at the bar, has wonderful food, and at City House you get to watch the chefs in action making pizza.
I don't remember the bar at Zola. It's been a while since I've been there because my last meal wasn't as nearly as good as Margot.
Bison near Nashville
The beefalo vender is the Crabtree Family Farm in Woodbury, Tennessee. I found them listed on the Franklin Farmer's Market website under profiles.
Bison near Nashville
There is a vendor at the Franklin Farmer's Market (Saturday mornings) who sells Beefalo.

Any thoughts on Marche in Nashville?
It's fantastic. Everything I've had there has been wonderful. I ate lunch there right before Christmas and had a minestrone soup I've been trying to recreate ever since.
City House in Nashville
I was there on Friday April 25th in a party of four. First of all, the main room is so loud. We could barely hear each other, and the room wasn't close to full. When I go back, I will either sit at the chef's bar (if I'm only with one other person) or ask to sit in the upstairs room.
We had a hard time deciding what to get because so many courses interested us. After discussing the menu with the server and him encouraging us to eat family style, we finally decided to get the salad (with local organic lettuces and radishes), the fresh mozarella pizza, and 2 different pastas (the bread gnocchi and the bucatelli ) to share between the 4 of us. I ordered a glass of rose and it was superb, one of the best wines I've had in a while. The timing of the courses was perfect. We enjoyed the salad and the pizza very much. Our first pasta, the gnocchi, arrived and again it was excellent. We were eagerly awaiting the 2nd pasta, when the server brought us dessert menus. We asked him about the 2nd pasta, and he thought we had wanted a double order of gnocchi which was not what we ordered. The volume in the main room is so loud, even the servers can't hear the correct orders. We were a little annoyed by then and our ears were ringing, so we quickly ordered dessert (which was good, but not as good as the desserts at places like Margot). Our bill was around $120 with 3 glasses of wine, 4 salads, a pizza, a double order of pasta, and 2 desserts.
So yes, I'll probably be back because the food was excellent but I will not sit downstairs. I also think the servers are a little green, but I'm sure they will improve with time. Also, I didn't notice any over salting of the food, and I'm really sensitive to too much salt. However we ended up with a vegetarian meal, and it seems like the salt issue is more in the meat dishes.
Good News For Nashville-Trader Joe's
I knew this would happen as soon as WF decided not to renew their lease of the Wild Oats store. I hope this isn't a belated April Fool's Day joke though...
nashville eats
You might know this already, but Arnold's is only open for lunch M-F.
Breakfast/brunch next Sunday in Nashville?
If you want food that is Southern but a little more upscale (Monells is more down home type food), I would go to Martha's at the Plantation. Her food is always fantastic, you'll be able to get everything you want, and at 10am or so you'll beat a lot of the after church crowd. Afterwards, you can walk around the grounds of the Belle Meade Plantation or do a tour of the house. It's 10-15 minutes from Vanderbilt, and you will be on one street the whole way.
Nashville: restaurant w/ free range eggs?
I would also call Marche in East Nashville. It's a great place to eat breakfast (or any meal) and they might use free range eggs.
Where in Nashville can I find sliders?
I saw them listed on the online Radius 10 bar menu.
Parco Cafe Nashville open for lunch
I saw that too. He only talked about dinner though. I wonder if he ate any lunches and how those items compared to what Mr. Fu cooked.
I miss eating lunch at the farmer's market stand every Sunday.
Parco Cafe Nashville open for lunch
Does the new chef/owner make Mr. Fu's special veggie burger?
Southern Food [moved from South board]
I would check out John Egerton's Southern Food book. Just about everything you ever wanted to know about the history of Southern food is in there. Plus there are recipes too!
Help to avoid Nashville disappointments
I thought of another meat and three dinner option: The Copper Kettle. They serve very good food, most of it is Southern, cafeteria style. It's a nice, pleasant place to eat. Definitely not upscale, and it's only open for dinner (they close at 8pm) M-F.
Help to avoid Nashville disappointments
While Nashville is in the South, our dining options are not only Southern. The best time of day to get Southern food here is lunchtime, which you already said is not an option for you.
Watermark in the Gulch is upscale Southern. The only time I ate here, it was very good but I didn't care for Watermark as much as I like Margot Cafe.
I think your only other option for dinner is Monell's.
There are loads of great Southern or Southern inspired places for lunch. If you do have an opportunity to eat lunch or weekend brunch, I would recommend Martha's at the Belle Meade Plantation. Martha's will be more Southern inspired than traditional Southern or Meat and Three. Her fried green tomato salad might still on the menu, and it is not to miss. If you want the best meat and three in town, go to Arnold's for lunch M-F.
In Nashville 25-29 June...
I'm not familiar with places to eat near the aiport, but the airport has been recently renovated a lot of local Nashville restaurants have now opened branches in the airport. If you find yourself with not enough time to leave, the food might be better than typical airport food.
Brooklyn hound with one night in Nashville
This is my suggestion exactly. Everyone we've taken to The Station Inn (locals and non locals) have loved it. You will not find a better place to hear great music in Nashville. Plus it's non smoking!
Nashville Breakfast
This conversation ended up in Sunday's Tennessean (Sept 2 issue):

Scroll down to the bottom of the page for the "article." Hopefully some more breakfast ideas will come of it.
Nashville Breakfast
I was going to suggest Marche. It may be a little more gourmet that what you are looking for. I've only been on weekdays, so I've never experienced the crowd on the weekends.
Another suggestion is Goldie's Deli on Murphy Road. The menu will be a little similar to Noshville, but the space is much smaller with a more low key feel.
Nashville is lacking in the breakfast/brunch department.
Vegetarian in Tennessee
I think Sylvan Park has gone way downhill. Arnold's is amazing, and you will have a fantastic meal. I just tried Arnold's about 2 months ago, and I couldn't believe it took me so long to eat lunch there. But if you can only eat dinner, then Arnold's is closed. Things to avoid (i.e. cooked with meat) would be beans, greens, and green beans. If you aren't sure, it's easy enough to ask about hidden ham hocks.
I haven't been in a while, but Martha's at the Plantation is great for lunch with newish Southern Cuisine. If you are in town soon, you'll be able to eat the fried green tomato salad. Again, this is only a lunch option.
Best Burger in Nashville?
My husband and I tried the Taproom burgers on Friday, and we both gave them the thumbs down. For a $10 hamburger, I'd much rather eat the burgers at Green Hills Grille or Bistro 215. For a cheap hamburger, I'd rather go to Brown's Diner.
Pfunky Griddle-Nashville
Not yet. Frankly if I go out for pancakes, I want someone to cook them for me!
What else in on the menu?
A trip to Nashville
I've eaten at Noshville for breakfast several times in the past few months, and I think they have excellent pancakes. Better than Pancake Pantry for sure (though their sweet potato pancakes are really good). Noshville makes their pancakes a little crispy, which I prefer. One of Noshville's two locations is right near Vanderbilt on Broadway, and the wait will be shorter than PP.
