Why did Julia Child use electric burners? Boy do they ever sell cookware! |

Mer Cheri Bar & Grille in Pearland Yes, I agree, Floyds in Pearland is a good place. Raw oysters and shrimp reasonably priced and delicious. Bloody Marys are great,,,served with a large shrimp & olive. Yum. |

Mer Cheri Bar & Grille in Pearland Vistied a new restaurant/martini bar in Pearland and just wanted others to know that I was very disappointed with what I found. I was told that this was a fun place to hear music and get a martini (from a wide selection). Yes, the martini was good, but the service & atmosphere were nothing special. It took forever for a waiter to take our order and the place wasn't even busy. The host seemed bored and could care less about our seating. We ordered gumbo and thought it didnt have enough seafood in it. Yuk. |

Sandra Lee could be the next first lady of New York? Ohhh, those waste-of-time-and-money tablescapes!!! I can't remember, do the tablescapes, match the kitchen curtains, appliances, the meal AND her outfit??? Sick. |
Sandra Lee could be the next first lady of New York? Agreed! Maybe she should devote the time she spends changing her kitchen to color match her meals to helping other needy, less fortunate people. She is a waste of time and money,,,for sure. |

Sandra Lee could be the next first lady of New York? Oh that horrible Kwanzaa cake with corn nuts and canned apple filling. Egads! And will she change the kitchen curtains to match whatever "meal" is being served. And wear a matching sweater, like when she made polenta and wore a yellow one. She's a nightmare of a role model. |

Ina Garten, the "Barefoot Contessa" is going to get sexy and violent? Ohh, that is funny. That should be quite a show! |

The STARS are a level of training; you get 5 cents more per hour; a discount if the retail store there. No big deal -- some servers don't even care about all that and still have the Rising Star apron. It's a gimmick...being a server there is NOT rocket science,,,come on! |

New Jacques Pépin series to look forward to Why do these cooking show hosts cook with their families; it never seems very comfortable??? |
Visited this restaurant the other night and was hugely disappointed. Waiter who is bald was trying to sell us over priced wine we didn't want. He was in a big hurry and didn't seem to care at all. The food was okay, but nothing to get excited about. Will not go back. |

Paula Deen is a hoot and a half! She was great on Larry King, even though he seemed lost as to who she is most of the time. |

Funny! And NO I will not be watching a show these clowns would host. I'll bet, you won't see a show put on . . . that is why FN is promoting #4 NOW. |
Alton Brown is wonderful. I love some of the outtakes on his shows, really funny. He's the best FN has to offer these days. Ohh, love Ina but we need some new shows,,,come on! |
LOL and I completely agree! Even Alton Brown couldn't help these nut cases. No way would I watch a show any of them would host. Last season Alton really was great in focusing some of the contestants - this time,,,,forget it !!! |

Okay, just tuned in for the first time to this God awful show. Was glued to the other two previous shows, and this one is just such a disappointment. The contestants are so low caliber (sorry to say); where did they find these people??? Giada, please, remember, she was a nervous wreck trying to get the knack for in-front-of-the camera-cooking; she needs to be a little more compassionate with her critisism; almost painful to watch this side of her. I don't buy it.....the judges, the premise,,,NO THANKS. |

Looking for some new ideas/recipes using one of my favorites,,,tofu. I usually do tofu/veg. stir fries, tofu curry, or MaPoTofu. Need something new. Thanks! |

Graduate From Culinary School, Then Be In Debt The Rest Of Your Life Yeah, I think community colleges are the way to go. The one here where I live, teaches everything one would need to know to get a job in the culinary field. So much less expensive. Such a rip off...$60,000, and not a good paying job when you graduate. Come on...... |

I'm definitely going to check out Buckeye. Ended up going to Left Bank in Larkspur - had a great lunch in front of the fireplace. |
