Does anyone have any suggestions for my parent's 70ths? This would be in June, and they are about an hour outside of Chicago, so one thought was dinner at Sixteen and then get them a room at Trump for a night. They aren't 'foodies', but, like most of us, appreciate good food. Thanks!

Thanks so much! It's a holiday party for former classmates coming from Oak Park on December 10th (I know, not the greatest timing). They met at Rockit one year, and were on their own with hotels. I would say River North, Gold Coast for location, and they want to eat from 7 to 10, and then go out after, so nearby nightlife is a plus. I think more meat and potato than foie gras ice cream, if you know what I mean.

For about 90 per person.

Is this impossible? Looking for a venue, either hotel or restaurant, for 40 people. We need 4 to 5 hours of open bar, and dinner too! Thanks!

I am not sure what the price range is yet, but I am looking for a fun place for a group of 40 something ladies (some of us married, some of us cougars) who haven't seen one another in a long, long, long time (they are staying close to the Omni hotel - 676 Michigan).

We had a large group (15) at Quartino, lots of food and lots of wine for about 20 per person - I thought it was a mistake! It's loud and lively - maybe a little tight with the seating (they just opened a few weeks before we were there), but it was a great night. They will give you a reservation, but I don't know if they have a private room.

Does anyone know of a Chicago outdoor market that sells fresh roses?

My husband and I were recently at Sweets and Savories and thought it was excellent...a little quirky but the staff and atmosphere are very approachable and friendly. Highly recommend the tomato bread soup and filet or the tasting menu.

I think the place in Elmhurst is Our Kitchen. There is also Dappers and Milly's in Addison but I think Our Kitchen is the best.

We are staying at the Marriot Hotel and Marina next week with our 2 1/2 year old (active) boy. Are there any kid friendly restaurants you might recommend? He eats just about everything. We have a car so we can go anywhere but I would like to know if there is anything walking distance from our hotel? Thank you!!
