One of our apts is near the Spanish Steps.

Places for east near Moore Theater?
Hi, We are coming up from Portland for the Spoon show, was looking for good foodie eats near the Moore Theater there. Any recommendations welcome. Thanks, D
Back Bay Recommendations
I was staying last year on Newbury and it was three nights of awful food! just awful! So I appreciate all that people have recommended on this board. No mistakes this year!
Back Bay Recommendations
Being from the NW I like fresh and local for one. I like everything from Thai to Indian to Mexican to Italian to standard simple fair when done well. That being said my company doesn’t care, but I am dining mostly alone maybe one picky college friend night where she will pick something. I don’t want to have to travel far since I have long business days.
Back Bay Recommendations
I am from Portland Oregon and will be staying on Arlington in the Back Bay from 14-17 Sept. I am looking for foodie and just plain good restaurant recommendations on the company dime which is not unlimited every night, but ya know!
Thanks!
Buenos Aires - food & neighborhood recommendations
This is somewhat a non-foodie yet foodie question. If you were young, hip, what neighborhood would you want to stay/rent and apartment in BA? Looking for lots of, cafes, shopping, local flavor?
On that note, I love meat - any recommendations on where to get the best steaks and chimichuri sauce that isn't so touristy with flair!
Thanks so much!
Oh I plan to go the first week in April.
Afternoon tea in Portland and Seattle.
Tea at the Chinese garen is one of my favorites. But not English ; (.
Mesquite, Texas
Going to be in Mesquite, Texas for the work week next week - any good locale bbq recommendations and excellent down-home cooking places to recommend will be appreciated! Oh and Mexican and anything else yum!

Ha! Actually I introduced on German to S'mores while camping. I think that topped all - he was a s'more embarrasingly so for Halloween. Win won for Hershey's (bad choc), marshmellows (the downfall of American sugary goodness) and graham crackers. Things can be Lecka (yummy) here. I hear it a lot.
BTW, Swedish meatballs at Ikea are a cheap way to feed the kids. Someone should write a whole article why parents with small toddlers go to Ikea to feed.

Pizza - I went with two Europeans - they were not impressed and yes the service blew too, but this was well in the beginning when it had all the press. Needless to say none of us returned and we are all Ken faithfuls. Maybe things got better altogether. Who knows, its pizza.
Dove Vivi
I look forward to your review. And thanks for the recommendations. I am not impressed with Nostrana. But Wildfire, I will checkout and have no clue where Stayton is?
Being from Cali, I'd say its more NW staples on chicago-style pizza crust given their seasonal selections.
Dove Vivi
This is more of a plug because I had their pizza (27 and Glisan NE) with its thick chicago-like cornmeal crust with fresh seasonal pies - and it was to die for! Not only did they do half-pies so we could try about 4 differnet ones, they serves us a mound of broccoli and mugrooms, beets and blue cheese on separate plates for 6 of us for salad. The owner and server was so sweet from Homer, Alaska and the sign is a bit inconspicuous and although they are gearing up for the crowds that I know will soon to come, its a dream right now so if you get a chance, check it out. Any other pizza suggests of a gourmet type besides apizza scholls and ken's are well taken as I have a new little pizza club going to sample places monthly. Ciao!
Beer Cheese Soup
Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for in fact when I was in Minneapolis for work last year someone asked me to find some in a can. Grazi!
Beer Cheese Soup
I like welsh rarebit at local pubs, but have never been so inspired to make it although I too have looked at recipes for it....another goodie. I am still looking for the soup - less carbs- burn off the beer.
dinner in Portland
Are you liking Country Cat? I heard it got mixed reviews and seems awfully expensive for fried chicken. It does entice me since I live at the Academy theater weekly....but then I break down for yahala or flying pie. Maybe you can give me the scoop on what's worth the while there?
Thanks msg!
dinner in Portland
Sweet goodness! I have yet to try Le Pigeon. Always go without a reservation....I am kind of on the non-fancy end and if you are looking for others - bbq - Pondah's on NE 15 and Prescott. Of course Appiza Scholls and for Artisan pizza Ken's. Don't know if I already mentioned these, but in complining my favs its not always about high end, there are so many economical places that trend in PDX. Couldn't ask for a better food place to live. Glad you enjoyed pok pok. Its restaurant of the year now so I am on a quest for new places less hype as the party is over for me for a bit.
Beer Cheese Soup
Ok, I hate to admit this, but it times of comfort and need, I turn to my midwest college experience and crave beer cheese soup goodness. I am looking for a recipe, one that doesn't have veggies or meat thrown in, but is sheer cheesy and beer goodness with great flavor. Please help a girl that is in need of comfort food. Kick boxing doesn't always cut it....nor yoga. Sometimes I just need a homecooked meal.
Boston Recs for PDX Foodie
Thanks so my Brookline friend says Pizzeria Regina is good, but "dirty"....I am sure not by my hippie PDX standards. This is the same girl that has never ridden the T. I will make a reservation now for Ten Tables. Or do they have a bar I can just eat at? Will report back!
Boston Recs for PDX Foodie
I smoked a doobie and am at the Hynes Convention Center - recommendations still stand?!?!
Boston Recs for PDX Foodie
I am at the Hynes Convention Center so this probably changes things! Yes?!?!
Boston Recs for PDX Foodie
Thanks for the rockstar recommendations - you hit it on the nose my love of Apizza Scholls and Farmer's Market fair which you are REALLY missing this summer. Ten Tables is on the list as well and Flour sounds great too. Cheers, D
And as M.Ward sings, "Every town looks the same when you left your heart in the PDX rain...."
Boston Recs for PDX Foodie
Hi, I am going to be at the convention center for a conference, but I read there isn't good foodies over there. If peeps could please recommend good chow places and the public tranist means to get there, this gal with an expense account from PDX will be grateful!
