Yea...i hear good things about Fuji, and as far as Ichiro goes i've been there a few times and can say that though they're not the best i've ever had they're still the best in the danbury area.

The best mexican will be found at Panchos&Gringos heading up towards brookfield/New Milford line.As for Thai...there is a place call Thang Long(not sure of spelling) on Newton Rd. Next to Stop&Shop.Chinese: Panda House on Mill Plain Rd.,Taipei Tokyo on Backus Ave., Jeffery's Chinese Kitchen(takeout)on Padanaram Rd.

I know that in my household I am a Lone Ranger when it comes down to a few choice items....such as:
Artichokes- go figure.I love this stuff any which way but no one else is even willing to give it a shot.
Some Indian/MiddleEastern Recipes- Again I Love Indian/MiddleEastern foods, apparently a lot more than anyone else I know :(.
Tamarinds- Only my Dad and I are into this lovely lil pod fruit.
Okra- Nobody can get past the texture....except me that is.

Actually the Indian Kitchen??(used to be Bombay,I believe) On Pembroke Rd. heading to New Fairfield(pratically across the street from the State Womens' Prison) is very good.Run by the same people as Jaipore in Brewster.On par with NYC fare.

Caju- It's the fruit of the cashew tree....wierd but good, because it tastes great but makes your mouth really dry!

You can use saffron to add a floral flavor to almost any dish,especially those that contain a sauce of some kind. The trick with it is to use very little amounts, meaning like a small pinch for a large stew or something. It is very expensive and also very strong.
