We were at el arrayan in february and it was as good as ever
we have been going there since it opened
in cabo searching for the best tacos

they are from spain much better than barcelona tapas

there is a small new place called aztlan that recently opened
the chef owner, Carlos was the chef at Tu y Yo in Medford, MA.
he and his mother make delicious comida corrida, some for gringos some not.
you really need to go and ask him what he made special that day

went in one 3 hour period with a stop at casamentos for some oysters and oyster stew thrown in
my results are
parasols kicks ass over the others
not even close
better than the other 2 together!!!!!!!

have not been out of the quarter for a po boy yeat and am going uptown to do domilises and want to compare versus some other up there
should i compare them to parasol, mahonys, magazine po boy or some thing else

we just got back last week and i can tell you that the food is as good as always
el arrayan is slipping a bit but their drinks are outstanding always
maria candelaria for awesome tamales allende and sanchez
panchos takos best al pastor you can have badillo near olas altas
gorditas chihua new and just great constitucion near carranza
teatro limon for a great group experience off the beaten path need a cab
the beach house for lunch on the beach-
(pricey but a great experience) huge salads and great drinks
dmikes hot dog cart badillo and rodriguez

i would definitely do la playita brunch 118 pesos all you can eat or go there for a nice dinner as well the food is consistently good and reasonably priced
panchos takos is just ridiculous for al pastor 8 pesos each
shrimp tacos at marisma 13 pesos each just incredible
gorditas chihuas is new and awesome for lunch or dinner
hard to spend over $10 for 2 people
vitea has big and small portions for most dishes and is reasonable for what you get
do yourself a favor and stay away from obvious tourist places or places that fajitas are the big draw try some local mexican

there is absolutely nothing like marisma
i love the place and go every other day when i am in vallarta
the one in the marina is just as good!
fried clams 45 minutes from ny/ct line on 1-95

My wife and I were driving back home from southern Indiana in August and were extremely hungry about 230 or so. Being on the Pennsylvania Turnpike did not bode well for us, since we knew that local food is just so terrible and all else is fast food. I had seen a sign about 25 miles before for a restaurant at Flying J Travel Center. I figured that it was at least close to the highway so we would not have to spend much time to find it or drive back after we ate.
The restaurant looked like a Friendlys and was nice enough inside. As we entered the hostess told us, "Todays special is liver and onions". We looked at each other and wondered what we were in for. When we got the menus, I noticed Flat Iron Steak for $8.99. Hesitant to order it, we did. WHAT A SCORE!!!!!!!
Steaks came cooked as ordered and the waitress asked if we would like to cut into it to see if it was ok. They were perfect, with real mashed potatoes and green beans that had been cooked in butter till gray, but damn tasty.
When we arrived home I found a web site, which all road travellers should reference.
I will go to one of these again when I have the chance.

i went there on my way home from newbury and it was very good
the owner had no idea about chowhound and seemed surprised that i had heard about it that way
burger was good and juicy fries were very good and i am not a fry head

i drive the hour from my house for their clam pie

i had a clam pizza in fairfield about 2 weeks ago and it was not the greatest
had never been to any pepes and this was the closest
roseland in derby was much better
from danbury to the northeast kingdom of vermont
i am driving thru connecticut on my way to newbury vermont and am looking for great breakfast and lunch 10 minutes or less from 1-84 and 1-91
i am very familiar with all things in Brattleboro so would appreciate other recommendations
