Jimmy Johns?

Bashful3-How long have you been working for Jimmy John's? Anyone self respecting resident of the the home of the best hoagies on the planet would rather starve than eat these things.

Le Virtu: Not Living Up to It's Reputation

Totally disagree with Bashful3. My wife and I dined last Sunday evening. Split the Housemade salsiccia over polenta. Delicious, spicy and more that ample portion to split. Half portions of pasta were next. Whole wheat fettuchine with pistachio pesto was light and tasty. Rigatoni with sheep milk ricotta was light and perfect. House wife Chicken was crispy outside and moist inside. Accompanying potatoes and vegetables were delicious. The porchetta with white beans and broccoli rabe was a home run. My wife took home half her chicken because she was full. Service was on point. Water refilled in a timely fashion. Nice selection of wines by the glass, too. Great meal. Can't wait to return.

Has anyone checked out Kris yet?

How can you give a negative report to a place you've never been to? That is just not right and very unfair. Someone has put a lot of time and money into this venture and it deserves to be judged on its merits. I do not know these people, so I have no vested interest, but c'mon, be fair!

Restaurants / PA LCB / distributors – how does this work?

Each licensee can name up to three people to pick up their order. The licensee names a delivery service employee as one of their three. So technically, the delivery guy is an "employee" of the licensee. The delivery service charges the licensee a fixed amount per case delivered. I do not know the names of any of these delivery services, but if you ask at the liquor warehouse, they can probably provide names and contact info for you.

Restaurants / PA LCB / distributors – how does this work?

I am a licensee. There are pick up locations specifically for licensees. Not all licensees pick up at these locations, but most of the larger ones do. There are services that deliver to restaurants. Only a handful of licensees use this service. There is a 7% discount on listed items for licensees. The 8% state sales tax is then added.

Johns Roast Pork - What happened??

Bigley -Don't be afraid. Afterall its only a sandwich and the family could probably use your financial support with the illness. I'll bet you'll be pleasantly surprised with the pork! Best wishes to the family.

Pig Roasting Dilemma is a great way to go. It is a roasting box that uses charcoal. Cooks a delicious moist and juicy pig. I've used mine over 20 times. Enjoy!

Coquette - Still BYO?

Coquette is NOT in Old City. It is in the South St/Queen Village area of the city. It joins Ansill, Gayle, Horizons, Southwark, Django, Horizons, etc in a great neighborhood for casual great dining.
