If you really want to experience good Toronto delicatessen you have to go to Pancer's on Bathurst. Caplanski's is a joke from the meat to the service. Bad joke.

Portuguese Chicken on Augusta in Kensington Mkt
Does anyone remember a tiny Portuguese chicken joint on the north end of Augusta on the east side just south of College? It was there in the early 80’s.
Right beside it was a Portuguese bakery.
The chicken in there along with the hot oil sauce and a very crusty roll was the most delicious food I had ever eaten. My first job was in Kensington stacking fruit at Gaylord’s and at the end of the day I would spend my entire pay on a few chicken’s and some rolls to take back home to my family.
Where did they go??
Authentic Tapas in Toronto
Way back when there was a place on Carlton called El Cid that was a real spanish tapas joint. There was also a fantastic place beside the current location of Sotto Sotto that had very authentic Paella.
Where is the best tapas in Toronto at this moment?
