Looking for kid-friendly restaurant

We're frequent visitors of the Bay Area but this is our first trip with our toddler. We're going to be visiting for a few days and would love to be able to dine out with some friends in the area (for very early dinners so as not to bother other patrons) during our stay. We've been to Slanted Door, Zuni Cafe, and A16 on previous visits. We're looking for a restaurant with a relaxed vibe and interesting food that's relatively kid-friendly (or at least, bringing a kid wouldn't be too frowned upon). Any recommendations? Thanks!

Slanted Door
Ferry Slip, San Francisco, CA 94111

Zuni Cafe
1658 Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94102

Softshell crab in NoVa?

Does anyone know of a restaurant in Northern Virginia with softshell crab still on the menu? Preferably non-Asian. I just called Bazin's on Church and they're no longer serving it because it's the end of softshell crab season. Surprising since I thought the season ended in November.

Inox or 2941?

My husband and I are celebrating a special occasion and are trying to decide between Inox and 2941. We went to 2941 a few years ago when Jonathan Krinn was still the executive chef but haven't been back since. Which would you choose?

Captain Pell's or Quarterdeck or other?

Which is the better crab restaurant in the D.C. area: Captain Pell's or Quarterdeck? I'm looking to organize a birthday dinner for a friend of mine and would love to have crabs for dinner without having to drive to Annapolis. Or, do you have another recommendation?

Where can I buy Virginia peanuts?

Does anyone know of a store or vendor in the area that sells Virginia peanuts? I recall there possibly being a vendor at the King's Street Farmer's Market that sells them but I'm not sure. I need to give them as a gift and I don't have time left to order them over the internet.

Vienna Farmers' Market

Do more vendors attend the Vienna Farmers' Market over the course of the year? I went there on the first day of the season and there were maybe 3 vegetable vendors there. I've been going to Dupont Circle since then but if I can save the trip, I will !

Boba Tea in NoVA?

There are a few places. A&J in Annadale (off Little River Turnpike, turn right on Markham Rd.) has really good bubble tea - limited flavors but what they do have is quality. In the same shopping center is Maria's Bakery, which has a wider selection of flavors. Several of the banh mi sandwich shops in Eden Center have bubble tea as well - they're on the left side, near Four Sisters and Viet Royale.

As for flavors, my favorites are the regular milk tea and taro. A&J has a passionfruit bubble tea that's pretty awesome as well - it's straight juice with the bobas.

Ramps in NoVa

Did anyone see ramps for sale at any farmers' markets in Virginia? I only went to the farmers' market in Vienna and pickings in general were very slim - absolutely no ramps and only a small selection of radishes, kale and asparagus were available.

Du Puy Lentils

Does anyone know where I can buy du Puy lentils in the area? They have French green lentils at my local Whole Foods but I'd like to buy lentils that are labeled "du Puy."

Taro Duck anywhere?

China Garden in Rosslyn serves taro duck.

Citronelle tasting menu and wine pairings

Thanks for the information, Mark. I saw the menu and wine pairings on the website but I wasn't sure if either was the current menu. I have a question though - are the pairings fixed or are you open to discussing different pairings prior to the meal?

Citronelle tasting menu and wine pairings

I have reservations for Citronelle in a few weeks and am thinking of going with one of the tasting menus. I'm trying to decide whether or not to get the wine pairings or to go with the wine list. Has anyone been there recently and can report what are the wine pairings? I tried to call them for a copy of the menu but no luck.
