Best Italian Beef and Chicago Pizza near W Hotel on North Lake Shore Drive

Looking for the best Italian Beef and Chicago Pizza around the hotel. Price not as much an issue, will be around for lunch and late dinners (after 9:30). If there are other can't miss suggestions lay them on me too. I'm in town on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Thanks!

Easton's Charcuterie and Prepared Foods - Kensigton Market

His demi-glace is amazing, worth every penny, the cold cuts were cut to order and delicious. A great addition to Kensington and worth a visit if you're in the neighbourhood.

Need suggestions for a good restaurant for 9 with 6 kids!

Hi, coming from Toronto with a small group and were going to be staying near the Loop in Chicago. Were looking for a good restaurant/neighbourhood to take 6 teenagers (14-17) for a walk and then some good Chicago style Italian.

Any suggestions? Doesn't have to be in the Loop but has to be age appropriate for the kids.

Thanks in Advance!

New in town looking for the intel

Sanagan's isn't just more ethical meat, its flat out better meat. European is a high volume, high turn over industrial butcher shop. Sanagan's is an artisan shop where you can discuss what cooking method you're using and what your expectations are and have someone will real knowledge and skill help you find the best cut for the job.

ISO Fresh Duck - Whole or Parts

Sanagan's Meat Locker usually has duck available just not always in the front window. If you call them and ask they'll happily put it aside for you. His ducks are, in my opinion, some of the best in town but generally run a little leaner then what people classically expect. I love it this way but some like the gobs of fat. Good for fries for sure.

Best Korean BBQ around Yonge and Finch

Was hoping for all you can eat but would rather get good quality and spend a little more.

Any suggestions?

One night/morning in Toronto - dining recs needed

Be aware that the Black Hoof has some odd hours and only takes cash/debit no credit cards. They also don't take reservations so you can be in for quite a wait if its busy. I would still go if its fits into your schedule just be aware of there...intricacies.

Boston Chowhound looking for guidance

I'd strongly suggest visiting Markham (an area north/northeast of Toronto) and trying some of the specialized Chinese that can be found there. Ding Tai Fong for Shanghainese Johns BBQ for Cantonese BBQ etc. If you search for posts by Charles Yu and SkylineR33 you'll be able to experience some of the best Chinese on the continent.

Toronto's best veal sandwich?

That wasn't Vinny's that was a different place that went under about 2 years ago. Vinny's has only ever been near Shaw and Dupont.

Sam James Coffee Bar OPEN

Just got back from the Sam James Coffee Bar at Harbord and Manning and its not only open but delicious.

I had a machiatto that was perfectly poured and a croissant that's being supplied by J.P. Chalet, also excellent.

So if you've been waiting for Sam to pour you a coffee once again, run don't walk this weekend to his new spot!

Indian food, Unusual and delicious

I usually order the saag paneer 'cause I'm addicted to it. But I haven't had a dish at Banjara that wasn't delicious.

I really enjoy the aloo gobi at Banjara

Best cupcakes in T.O.?

Ms. Cora's Kitchen on Kensington in the Market makes amazing mini cupcakes.

I like the vegan coconut the best, which says a ton because I usually can't stand vegan food.

Dark Horse on Spadina

He's been working with Jamie Kennedy and running his Barista academy. I will certainly support this Darkhorse location if he shows up. Not only will he pour amazing shots but his entire staff will likely be better trained then anywhere else. The drop in quality at Manic when he left was noticeable and regrettable.

Pizza Pies/Dough

Fiesta Farms sells progress bakery pizza dough raw near the deli. I use it regularly and quite like it.

Manic's machine alone puts it into another league from bulldog or the Green Beanery.
