I need a place to go to for Valentines Day (North Jersey Bergen, Passaic, Essex co). I’ll be going with my girlfriend, her daughter (age 17), and her daughters’ friend I’m looking for a nice place… with some type of entertainment.

Hello it’s ‘me’ birthday in a few weeks and my GF wants to take me someplace FUN… She does not know to use a computer (we are 30+ sad huh lol)… so... I want to give her some suggestions. AND I don’t have any to give her.
We do have places we like to eat at, and we don’t want to go there with a crowd…
We don’t care for chain places; such as TGIF.
We are in, and like to keep in the So Bergen, Passaic, and Essex/Hudson county area.
We are just looking for coctails/drinks... maybe some music.
SOOOO does anyone have any suggestions???

We like all kinds of food (not so much Indian)… But… just looking to go out to eat to see some kind of entertainment (any kind… music, shows, anything, something FUN).
We went to Marrakech in Parsippany … It was GREAT!

Is there a nice place to take a lady for a first date in the medowlands area of NJ? NY is OK. I don't want her to think I'm Mr Cheap, or Mr Big$ ... We like most foods... Just a nice quiet place to get to know each other (we are both in our 30s and divorce).

Good Chinese Restaurant downtown
My co-workers and I use to go to a P & C Garden Chinese Restaurant on Trinity Pl in downtown NYC… BUT they closed.
My question is there another place LIKE PC Garden, in the downtown area???
I know we are close to Chinatown BUT wanted to find a place just like PC Garden.

I just ate at Fritzy's this past weekend (and a few weekends ago)...The food was still good and tasty! to me.
I love the French dressing they make... if someone knows how to make it let me know!

Jade Fountain (clifton) Need the Chinese chicken wings recipe

I think I may found a receipe for them. I guess you also like the Jade Fountain?
I think it may just be soaked 15min in dark soy sauce. fry them in a wok for 10/15 min (keep stiring)... now I'm not sure if they used green onions? I'm going to try it and if it works... I guess you and I are getting hitched...LOL

There use to be a place by me in NJ called the Jade Fountain (I think Chinese and Polynesian). It is now loooong gone… BUT they use to have great and tasty wings. SOOO If someone can give me a recipe I can try it… This is what the wings looked like and kind of tasted like. They were black in color, and I thnk they used soy sauce to cook them. I tried but they don’t come out tasty or black. I don’t know if they put them in a wok and/or oven.

Ended going to La Bonne Soupe for lunch... It was a good soup French Onion and Ministrone (both very good)... we also got the Fondue (nah... not that good)

Need a mid-town good soup and comfort food place
Next week my gal and I is going the Radio City Christmas Show… AND I come from Jersey and work downtown… I don’t go to the city much to eat (except at work downtown)… So my question is where’s a few good places to eat around the Rockefeller Center area and Times Square (the non tourist places). We are not looking for fancy but she likes/wants “comfort food” such as SOUP (I remembered her saying that a while ago… her testing my memory?).
So I’m looking for a good soup place in mid-town and a good comfort food place. For lunch and dinner.
I have breakfast-covered Murray’s Bagels (on 6th ave @13th st) she liked it last year… we will stop there from the PATH, and go-on to mid-town. We are making a full day of it and our show is at 5pm. sooo If can offer any tips to make the day go by (and see)… THANKS!

I’m from the north and say I do not know GOOD BBQ-lol. Soooo for the first time I’m driving down to Florida VIA I-95. Where are GOOD roadside BBQ off of I-95? We will be staying in the Savannah area for one night (so around there is good)

I will be driving to Florida (from Jersey – 1st time) and we are staying Georgia for one night and wanted to know what is in season... in mid September (next week 9/20).
When I think of Georgia I think of peaches, peanuts, pecans, and sweet tea. So are there any stops, or farms we can stop at (along I95)?
