Hi! I realize you have made your decision and am sure you'll enjoy yourself at Torito. I just wanted to add that the dishes at Cava are more in the small plates style and far more intricate and I believe superior to Torito. For a special occasion or not, you cannot beat the service and the amazing knowledge the servers possess at Cava..........the wine list also shines. Enjoy your night.......looking forward to hearing your review of Torito! |

I went to Vault last Saturday evening. Beautiful room with the wine cellar in the vault and a gorgeous chef's table in full view of the kitchen. Menu is french bistro focused with lots of interesting choices and a thoughtful wine list. The owners were present and sure to take very good care of everyone. |

Visited John Lee's Omi Sushi on Carlton last Saturday March 7th. We are fans of his former establishment on Church Street and were really looking forward to trying his new place. The food is very good, but the service is awful. The omakase , which the entire restaurant seemed to order, came out a lot more slowly for our table than all those around us, most of which arrived after us and they also forgot to bring 3 of the courses (the couple next to us also experienced something similar with their dessert). Getting a drink or even their attention was like pulling teeth and it got worse over the course of our visit. After 2 hours and 45 minutes we were pleading with them to bring the remaining courses or at least the bill. We won't go back and it's certainly not because of the food........shame. |

I had an amazing steak tartar at Didier. The seasoning was spot on and it came with all the traditional accompaniments. The only issue I had was that the portion was quite large, so worth trying though... Good luck! |

I tried the Harbord Room last Thursday and really enjoyed my experience. The food is excellent, service was efficient and friendly. Great atmosphere, funky and earthy decor. 89 Harbord, just west of Spadina |

Costco is actually fairly good! I usually venture to Kensington or Chinatown for fruit and veg as it's cheap and with the high turnover, pretty fresh. |

Great restaurants in the Mayan Riviera Thanks for the quick response. Would like to do both, so something pretty and upscale, but also authentic as I am a chef and should probably do some research!! |
