sat night dinner suggestions
Going for dinner next week with another couple. I was thinking along the lines of Craft and Cru? Anything new that i need to try along those lines? Ive been to both and i know there must be someplace new worth trying.
I'm asking for next sat night so not worried about last min reservations.
Celeb Chef Underground Society?
It seemed to have all the people from the program there but no crew? hummm.
Celeb Chef Underground Society?
This wasn't a table or two showing up to have some dinner. It was midnight and there were about 50-60 people there by the time i was leaving and more were coming in. It was like something out of a movie.
Celeb Chef Underground Society?
Last night my husband and I had dinner at Cru. They made us wait 30min after our reservation for a table but were very nice. (They gave us free champers while we waited.) The dinner was very good but as we were finishing up we noticed that people were trickling in and going back into the kitchen. Suddenly we were feeling very rushed and more and more people were showing up. We first figured investors but then the place was becoming more and more full.
As we were walking out we noticed several celeb chefs. There was Daniel Boulud, Terrence Brennan and many others we recognized but could not name. Could it have been a midnight meeting of the Celeb Chef Underground Society?
Kobe Club's horrible review.
anyone ever see a place get as bad of a review as kobe club. i was shocked.
It's nice for a reviewer to actually call somthing like it is. I'm so sick of hearing how bad places are "good."

Tipping on Wine
If you order a very expensive bottle of wine (lets say over $300) do you tip as you would the rest of the meal. I normally tip 20%- on a $300 bottle that would be $60. My friend says that you don't leave a standard tip on the wine but i say you do.
What do you think?
One Month Chowing Through NYC
Good is gross. Ive never had a good meal there, believe it or not.

Inexpensive lunch options around the Metropolitan Museum
On lexington there are lots of diners there are some more pricey diners on Madison. None of them are very good but they are close to the Met and it's a place to sit and eat. Seraphina is on Madison and 79th and not too pricey.
Suggestions for dinner near the Metropolitan Museum of Art?
There is a great Italian place on 82nd btween lex and 3rd called Girasole Restaurant - 212-772-6690 - 151 E 82nd Street (Lex & 3rd). There is also Centolire - 212-734-7711 - 1167 Madison Avenue (85th & 86th). Cafe Boulud is very nice but a bit more pricey than the others. Sant Ambroeus - 212-570-2211 - 1000 Madison Ave (77th & 78th) is a very nice euro atmosphere. Can be a fun evening with the ladies.
