Dining in Scottsdale and Phoenix
We are headed to the Hilton Tapatio Cliffs week of Thanksgiving and are looking to check out the local culinary scene. We will have a car and will travel for good food. Looking for lunch and dinner spots with great local fare, any chef-worthy restaurants, and a decent wine list. Most of our meals will include our 14-month-old daughter who has an excellent palate and is well behaved. Recommendations needed please.
Where's a good place to get truffle oil?
Where is La Isola located on Grand? I can't find a listing on their web site.
Bermuda - 40th Birthday Dinner Blowout Suggestion Needed (and golf too)
What about Blu? Have seen this listed many times on the postings. Also, was there two years ago and we had great meals at Ascots and Ristorante Primavera and Omakase Sushi Bar (do the Italian downstairs)
Christmas Eve and Day dinner/lunch in Sydney?
Any recommendations for Xmas eve dinner, Xmas day lunch or dinner in Sydney? We're staying in the central downtown area and are a party of 4. Budget for dinner $150/per person and lunch maybe $50-75. Trying to stay away from hotel buffets unless they are outstanding in service and food. Thanks!
Looking to Order a Pig for Pig Roast!
Looking to order a whole pig for a pig roast in July in Rye. Does anyone know where I can get one? We're happy to pick it up in Queens or in NYC. I'm also looking for the wooden box in which to cook it?
Thanks for any info!
Outdoor dining near BAM
I would second Stonehome. Also had a great meal at Olea, not sure about outside seating but they have great live music!

Jpan on 5th Avenue?
I get take out from there all the time and it is good, not great. I am trying Mura tonight and will see if they fare better.
Ici - Brooklyn
I had the same underwhelming experience. If you're going to drive to Brooklyn, please check out al di la, Convivium Osteria and Palo Santo before Ici.
Lunch in Times Square?
Thanks for all the suggestions. I am thinking a French or Italian bistro with a nice view if possible (not required). What about Angus? Price range maybe $40 a head.
Lunch in Times Square?
My family is coming to NYC for the first time and we would like to have a nice lunch in the Times Square area before a 2pm matinee on Saturday. While they are not adventurous eaters, I would like to take them somewhere delicious and part of the New York Experience.
Any suggestions?
cheap eats near Don Hills club?
We're going to see a show at Don Hills tonight and are looking for a good, inexpensive place to grab a bite beforehand? We're open to ethnic food or just really goo bar food as well.
Anyone tried Mura in Park Slope?
Just wondered if anyone has tried the new sushi spot on 5th avenue called Mura? We're in desperate need of good sushi towards the south end of the slope - not Blue Ribbon Sushi.
Park Slope Favorites Around 4th St. & 5th Ave.
al di la is the best italian and very reasonable - a real treasure.
Mekong is good for Vietnamese take out and Mr. Wonton for Chinese.
Another treasure is Palo Santo on 4th and union - incredible tasting menu for only $45
DIB at Tempo
We live just down tthe street and Tempo is our go-to place besides Al di la for excellent, well priced food in Park Slope. During DIB it gets crowded and service/food may slip, like any other participating restaurant but on any given night of the week, it is consistent, well-prepared food and great neighborhood-friendly service. Truly a gem in park slope.
Al di La or Chestnut or Applewood or Grocery? HELP!
al di la is amazing but tempo is also very good, consistent with a nice atmosphere for parents. try the valrhona tart for dessert. also, i love convivium osteria on 5th with an incredibly authentic atmosphere and interesting portugese/spanish/italian food.
New restaurant recommendations needed in or around Park Slope
Have you been to Convivium Osteria? Very romantic and delicious!
Crumpets
Trader Joe's also offers a few varieties and are pretty decent. i love crumpets too.
Convivium specialties?
Recently had the Oxtail Papardelle which was excellent. Also, try the seafood tapas for two as well as the Salt Crusted Lagoustines - a personal favorite. Enjoy!
