"The Palm" in Fresno ???
i was driving on n. palm avenue this saturday (north of herndon where all the title company and new commercial buildings are) and i could've sworn i saw a building with "the palm" written on it. does anyone know if there's a "palm" opening there? it's a large spanish style stucco building on the right-hand side when you're driving north.

Sunday Champagne Buffet Brunch Coastal O.C
sunday brunch at motif at the st. regis monarch beach is fabulous and festive during this time of year. it's semi-fancy, but they do have high chairs. i went with some youngins (1 and 2) and they were fine.
koto in newport beach also has a great japanese sunday brunch if you're looking for something different.
2 Days in Napa - need recs
Mustards is fabulous and the pork chop really is that good.
Another fun lunch option would be the a picnic at V Sattui. Their deli has so many tasty eats to choose from and they have a lovely picnic area. A friend recommended it and I loved it.
Are there any fun bars near Berkeley?
Pasand Lounge is grand. Good bar with innovative and fun drinks. Also has plenty of comfortable seating (tables, pillowed booths, couches). Perfect spot to have a few cocktails..or catch a game (they have tv's).
Fish tacos in Fresno?
love the tacos puntas chapalas, as well as the chicken tortilla soup.
Peruvian/Spanish/Mexican/etc for 8?
Esperpento in the Mission is fabulous for a dinner party. It is strictly spanish tapas though. It's a small space but they can definitely fit a party of eight.

Santa Barbara Restaurants - 3 ways
for dinner try SEVILLA (latin american fusion/tapas). i'm not a santa barbara native but i was taken there when i visited a friend. we sat at the bar and sampled the tapas menu..all fabulous especially the "mac-n-cheese" which was really gnocchi, truffle oil and melted manchego. to die for! the exterior looks like an old spanish jail, but the inside is ultra chic and fabulous. do try and ejoy!

Fish tacos in Fresno?
i really enjoy the chapala grill on n. milburn. pleasant surprise given it's shopping center location. it's a cross between a baja fresh & el torito. definitely one of my favorite sit-down mexican joints.

Esperpento (in the mission): 3295 22nd St (Cross Street: Valencia Street); oh so tasty tapas and fun with a big group!

I agree with the Mustards Grill suggestion. The portions are perfect. In addition to the pork chops, the onion ring starter is fabulous!
